lol You coined the whole thing. The caste system came from the kings and queens that kingship was handed down to from above. Most obvious of all the kingdoms is the area we now call India and it is as strong today as it was in ancient days. The culture it sprang from goes back to ancient Sumer, or that's at least how far it has been traced. Kings were priests and queens were priestesses. They were also the gods and goddesses of yore. Politics, religion, social concerns were all under kingship. Nothing was done without instruction from the royalty. It was a form of communism. Whatever station you were born into remained your station all your life with no chance of advancement. Unless you were found "gifted" to work for the god/goddess. It remained that way until Constantine allegedly gave the right of kingship to the pope. The document in question is actually a forgery written about 200 years after the supposed gifting. Of course, India still has the caste system in place and it is through them that we know so much about it.
