Being a Christian, but not blind I see a reversal between behaviour and declared roles. "Compassionate" "love thy brother and sinner" Christians viciously attacking Islam using fundamentalist dogma, while their so-called "aggressive", "fundamentalist" enemies respond with patience taking the time to guide other seekers of knowledge and understanding.
I guess many "Christians" could do with the "thou can see the splinter in thy neighbor's eye, but not the mote in your own.".

To the Muslims I hope you shall find it in your heart to forgive my christian brethren and sisters their offences against their fellow man and will not be detered from visiting this site for the exchange of views. Your views are welcomed at least by me and I hope by many other seekers who wish to serve the Creator.

This is a VERY tough one--under other circumstances, I might have gone to the Middle East for this present war, in which Islam appears to be fighting on both sides.

A critical rule of warfare: Know your enemy. When Muhammad commanded his followers to "fight and slay the Pagans wheresoever ye find them" (Surah 9:5), he might have smiled on the infiltration strategy necessary to gain intelligence on the enemy. I happen to have an interest in military history, incl. the battles in which Muhammad was involved; the Hadith documents a series of assassination raids in which Muhammad, using the ruse of friends and allies, set up a series of massacres to exterminate his enemies.

My own Question about the battles referenced in the Quran went unanswered, for practical purposes, whether by design or due to lack of knowledge among would-be Answerers. To date, the Islamic world has proven itself extremely hostile to Christians, and several passages in the Quran indicate the root causes (see Surah 9). A "here's your sign" from John the Elder:

"Beloved,...test the spirits, whether they be of God; for many false prophets are at large in the world. Hereby will ye know...: He who confesses that Y'shua Moshiahu is come in the flesh, the same is of God; and he who denies that Y'shua Moshiahu is come in the flesh, the same is...of the Antichrist."

You are such a nice person. For us, the Christians &
jews & Muslims are followers of the Holy books. So, it is not our mistake today if any of us could be wrong. The point is, be good to humankind.

Btw, some Muslims are being harsh to its own fellow Muslims who have different interpretations of verses.

This happens all the time within the Islamic Sects, country, & community.

Thank you for this question. I don't take such behaviours, insults etc. as all Christians are doing it to me. There are ignorants, hypocrites and those who try to spread mischieve around in every religion. But you have a point there, I always see Christians are insulting and talking bad to Muslims way too much than Muslims do to them. We follow our book and then take Prophet Muhammad(peace be upon him) as our role model. We are not told to behave bad to others nor look down on people because of their status, religious choices and such. I think this is why we see Muslims are more tolerant and kind. We are at least reading and studying our religion and trying to shape our lives in accordance with it's teachings.
We are all sisters and brothers no matter what. No matter there are Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Atheists, Pagans out there... In our belief, all mankind is nothing but one nation. I hope many others can think the same.

Peace and blessings.

p.s. And no, I won't leave this place just because there are ignorants around.

Thanks for your post. The reason that I think this is because Muslims believe in the Bible as a word of God (only a little distorted) but Christians do not believe in the Quran. The Quran mentions Christians as the people of the book and has made special rules for them, like Muslim men can marry Christian women, and we can eat their foods except pork.

The other reason is that we have been told to be kind to other people. Since a Muslim has to account for his/her actions we cannot take these things lightly. We have no reason to believe we will go to heaven just because we are Muslims. Every action has to be accounted for. We believe that God can forgive every sin but if you hurt a fellow human being than that person has to forgive you otherwise God can not forgive you because it is a violation of his/her right.

I have also noticed this. The Muslims that I have befriended have completely shattered every stereotype that my society is so saturated with. However, Yahoo Answers is hardly an accurate representation of the Christian population. Over the last year, the extremists have managed to chase away a lot of the moderates... Thanks for sticking up for them...

EDIT: *Waves to Zifikos*

You won my heart since you have the courage to speak the truth.

Believe me we the Muslims do not have any hard feelings for anybody.Even against those who feel pleasure in Islam bashing.

It's a matter of debate whether this compassionate behaviour of Muslims is becoz of the teachings of Quran or what , since Quran instructs...........

" Invite (people) to the way of your Lord with wisdom and beautiful Preaching, and argue with them in the best ways."Quran [16:125]

Anyway thanx for asking such a nice question.

World needs Christians like you.

interesting question...i will blame history for this behaviour. it is a kind of stigma that we Muslims had/have to suffer..yes i have the same question in my head..and sometimes i do feel discriminated..but i just try to control whatever painful words that may come out from my lips..my religion means PEACE..and the nearest to our hearts are the Christians...patience and knowledge..these are the fundamental things that a Muslim should have to promote Islam that is why we show kindness, which is also charity..to understand fully the only TRUTH by the others who are still seeking the TRUTH.

Being a solid life-practised, true-to-the-heart Christian, I have found that a great % of the [supposed] "Christians" on here are so self-opinionated, judgmental and prejudiced as to not genuinely be worthy of the title, "Christian".

In some ways, they actually offend God, and de-establish the work and call of the Christ to us to "Go ye into all the world ..., etc".
Obviously, He meant as an exemplar of His teachings.
This latter is certainly not the picture depicted by many 'Christians' posting on this site!

My Dear brother,
Today my heart is filled with emotion. This world really needs people like you. Truth can't be spread through hate, lies and misconceptions Its my firm belief. If you are right you will win. If not in this world certainly in life after death which you also believe. Do your duty honestly and leave it up to Almighty God who knows everything even whatever hidden in your hearts. You may win some worldly success in this world but certainly not His heart by spreading lies
Lastly let me give permission to quote a verse from Quraan here for my Muslim brothers and sisters.

1.By Al-'Asr (the time).

2. Verily! Man is in loss,

3. Except those who believe (in Islâmic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, and recommend one another to the truth (i.e. order one another to perform all kinds of good deeds (Al-Ma'rûf)which Allâh has ordained, and abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds (Al-Munkar)which Allâh has forbidden), and recommend one another to patience (for the sufferings, harms, and injuries which one may encounter in Allâh's Cause during preaching His religion of Islâmic Monotheism or Jihad, etc.).(Sura: Al-Asr, Quraan).
