Hi. Well i am male 21 and i am 250 pounds at the momement with around 6 feet tall. i checked my ideal weight from nutritiondata.com and it told its something from 136-185. I am dieting to lose 50 to 60 pounds in about 2 to 4 months.
Some back ground on why i want to lose weight:

Basically the girl i really liked turned me down and she said it was because of my weight. Yes that was really hurtfull and at the same time shocking to me and made me want to do this.

So far i have lost around 10 pounds in 2 weeks and i hope by the new year i will lose another 30-40 pounds. so that would be around 40 to 50 pounds in about 2 to 3 months.
So my biggest concern is if i will have alot of loose skin after my diet is finished. Yes i do exercise and i drink plenty of water. I cant do weight training because i cant use my left hand ( due surgury) but i do walk about at least 30 min and 30 min on a bike every day.

Will i gain a noticable amount of loose skin? and how can i minimize it.

rather than giving your self a time frame, just stick with the healthy changes you have made and let things happen at their own pace. if you go slow, your skin will have time to adjust. your weightloss will naturally slow down. most ppl lose alot in the beginning and then it slows down. you are still young so 50 lbs of weightloss shouldnt be too bad on your skin. also, you can still strength train your other arm, your legs, back and stomach, etc. maybe you can meet with someone at the gym who can show you all the different machines and some ways to excercise your shoulders etc without using your left arm. at most gyms, you get one free appt with a trainor. muscle burns more calories so if you can figure out a way to weight train it will only help you. good luck sweety :)

I would reconsider your time frame for your weight loss. I would aim for two pounds a week. It could be the difference between loose skin..and no loose skin. Giving yourself a bigger time frame will allow your skin to adjust slowly. If you were to lose that weight that quickly it may not be able to recover.

Being turned down, at your age, is depressing. Losing large amounts of weight in a week (7+ lbs) is dangerous. Flabby skin wont be a problem for you if you continue to diet properly and exercise properly. This is NOT an overnite miracle; it takes time to improve physically and mentally as well. As your body improves, you will be noticed by other people. I would suggest you set your goal for further into the new year and when you get there continue with another goal date.

At your age I wouldn't worry about the skin issue. That pertains more to people grossly overwieght. I would advise you to modify your goals however. Two reasons, it may be unhealthy to lose 7.5 pounds a week, also, a good goal is an easily attainable goal. It is better to reach a goal than to fail.

losing weight slower will help reduce the loose skin problem. your age will help, too. good luck with the weight loss and the girl.
