Don't be such a meanie. Let the cats do what they want. I've always had cats sleeping on my bed. They have never given me any health problems and are a comfort to me. I'd bet your girlfriend enjoys having them there. If I had to choose between my cats or a man, there would be no contest, he would soon get short shift!

My cat used to sleep on the bed but my husband doesn't like it (the cat predates the husband). I don't have a problem with it - she's learnt that the word "bedtime" means its time for her to go out of the bedroom and the door is shut for the night.
It's a bit like training babies to do without their parents during the night - she did have a few nights of miaowing at the door and throwing herself at it, but after being told no a few times got the hang of it.
She's normally waiting outside the bedroom door in the morning as soon as we get up.
Although I love cats I can completely understand why some people might not like them on the bed too. Just ask your girlfriend without accusing if they could stay off the bed. If she can see you don't hate the cats but just genuinely don't want them on the bedclothes I'm sure she won't mind.
If she won't even consider a compromise, then it's time to question whether she's the right girlfriend!

That depends!! Who was there first the cats or you?? LOL! Seriously though, if the cats were there before you moved in and she has always had them there it may be a difficult one!! If you have just got them, explain to her how you feel (not all us girls are heartless and dont listen!) We have two cats and I wont let them sleep in the bedroom, on is long haired and she tends to sleep on the pillows (not nice first thing in the morning). I wont let them sleep on my daughters bed either! Tell her you feel it is unhygenic, think about their paws in poo!! I find the only way to keep them out is keep the door closed!

If you've been letting them do this for quite some time, they are going to be confused when you start telling them 'no'. You could use a water bottle or just keep the door closed. Again, they will be confused and won't understand why things have changed all of a sudden. FYI: I use our upright vaccum every couple days to get hair off our comforter...LOL...and also use the "sticky" roller.

Get a Rottweiler to sleep in the bedroom.
You have to train the cats with that good luck.

Hard one. She has been letting them sleep on the bed probably before you came along.
Try gently to persuade her. Say you are itching all over or something.
I personally don't like animals in the bedroom. Not really too healthy for them or you. They have different body heat.

Have you tried an electric fence?
Important to remember where you left it when you get up for a pee in the night though.
