The term "God' comes from an ancient German Chieftan/Deity named Gudan, whose name means "to invoke." The deity of the bible is calle YHVH. (often unpronounced, but sometimes pronounced Yahweh, or Jehovah)

In Sanskrit, it is Creator, Sustainer, Destroyer.
It's from German: Gott, as in "Mein Gott" which English speakers say as "My god!"
No matter the origin, it's still nonsense.
