My dog is 12 yrs old and is in really good shape. Everyone thinks she is years younger than she is. But recently I have noticed that she has become obsessed with drinking water. If its raining she drinks puddles, she'll drink as much water as I give her. Should I be concerned?

Hi, this is also a sign of Cushing's Disease. Since she is an older dog, you really need to get her to the vet and get her checked out. Is her tummy also "pooching" out? If so, this is a good sign of this disease.

If I were you, I would just go ahead and get her an appointment and make sure she is ok. It's hard for older dogs, especially if they aren't feeling well. I know you want her with you as long as you possibly can have her.

Good Luck!!

I would say yes because it is out of the ordinary for your dog to be like this.I would be concerned with its kidneys because of the drinking and she is getting old.

get your dog checked out at the vets, it may have problems with its kidneys, drinking lots of water helps cleanse the kidneys, so your dog is trying to help its self
