Which do you prefer out of these two pistols for ccw, Ruger P345 or P90
(.45 cal.)

I would definetly go with the newer p345, its alot slimmer than the p90. Both are very good guns and will function flawlessly. I would rethink my carry gun if possible, the 345 will work but it still is pretty hefty to haul around all day.

I prefer the P90 over the P345. I don't carry the P90 often, but when I do I don't have a problem concealing it and carrying it comfortably. But I don't carry it during the summer wearing shorts and a t-shirt. Rather than basing your decision on my recommendation pick the one you want, the one you feel the most comfortable with--and I'll bet you can figure out a way to carry it.

The P345 is a little lighter, and if you stand or walk all day, the lighter weight will help. They are both good, though. I find that if I am on my feet all day, my pants start to sag where the gun is holstered. That is why I look for the lighter carry guns.

I agree with D. I would look at something smaller if the sole purpose is for CCW.
