i am going through the same thing right now, and i think its because the weather is changing because this has NEVER happened to me before. i have dandruff along with it because i thought it would go away.
i used head and shoulders, that didn't work, i also used the neutrogena t-gel shampoo, it smells awful, and that still isn't working, so i am going to try some olive oil. im not even going to try selson blue because ive already tried the other product like it, and i am sick of wasting my money.

HERE ARE SOME HOME-REMEDIES to try, but i suggest seeing a doctor because it can get worse and it sucks.

Maybe you have a sensitivity to the shampoo you're using. Try using a shampoo for scalp itch. Selsun Blue has one, so does Neutrogena. It's called T-gel shampoo. If that doesn't help, then I would go and see a dermatologist. They will be able to diagnose what the problem is and give you something that will help you.

Scalp itchiness can be due to several causes. Allergy, fungal infection or severe dryness/oiliness. You can try washing your hair and scalp with clarifying shampoo if you just had a swimming. or try medicated shampoos like nizoral. But please follow direction carefully when using medicated shampoo. if scalp is too dry, You can use olive oil on your scalp. Shampoo and rinse it well after 15-30 minutes of massaging it on your scalp. If scalp is too oily, use mild frequent wash shampoo. and most importantly don't scratch your scalp it will only aggravate your problem.

USE >>Selsun anti-dandruff shampoo.
(and ONLY Selsun)
It contains a chemical to fight Dermititis, which is what YOU have..I'll take bets on that.
If you asked a doctor, I feel sure he/she would agree.

Try changing your shampoo/hair products, they may be the culprit.
