Yes! My best friend and I got married about a month apart from each other and since our bridesmaids were pretty much the same, and we didn't want them to have to buy two dresses, we decided to "share" bridesmaid's dresses..and black was the only color that went with our wedding colors.
I know a couple of the girls has worn their dress again, as well as me...and the black was great because both weddings were evening weddings and really set off the color of the bouquets they held.

Hi there! I attended a wedding a few months ago, and the colors were red and black...even though it sounds kinda weird, it was really pretty! The bridesmaids all had long, black dresses and carried red roses. I like black, I think it looks classy. Congrats and good luck!!

I went to a black and white wedding. It was actually very elegant. The dresses were black with white sashes and the brides dress was white with a black sash. The flowers were white with dashes of red here and there. It was actually one of the most formal weddings I have ever been too and was beautiful.

not personally my style- i love warm/deep colors- but i've seen many weddings where it looks great. i think it all depends on how it's used (main color, or accent color). and if, say, the bridemaids dresses were all black.. then you just have to make sure you get a dress design that is classy, not cheap. i don't necessarily think it's automatically depressing, but it all depends, and can look elegant in the end.

i think black is an excellent choice. i hate the people who think it is morbid, adams family or gothic.....it is vey popular right now. check out theknot.com and view black pictures.
i am getting married june 28th next year and my colors are black and white. we are going with a long, strapless chiffon dress for the bm's. my dress is very elgant from the allure line and we wanted elegance and black was a perfect match!
ignore the ones that tell you how horrible you are to chose black.

Were doing red as our main color and black and white as accents, more white then black, but were also going to use black, I think the colors are amazing together.

Lately I've seen a LOT of black as wedding colors/bridesmaids dresses. The more I see it, the more I like it, though I wouldn't choose it for myself. If you like it go for it! :) Congrats!

I don't find anything wrong with black, it is as elegant as any other color. I personally went with Lilac because of my time of year and I love any color in the purple family. Good Luck
