My son was diagnosed with a condition that only circumcision would alleviate a month ago. Monday the 29th he was operated, then observed for an hour and sent home bandage up. We were told to leave it as is for 48 hrs then remove the bandage and keep clean. Thursday morning my wife removed the bandage without any problems. he did not urinate al day but he was obviously moving his legs like he wanted to go. Thats when I discovered his penis was very raw and still bloody I sat him on the toilet, reverse cowboy, he cried that he could not "go pp" and he began to bleed a few drops. The blood forming around his penis was thick like a mocous membrane. He finally peed after about 20 minutes. his penis is very disturbing to me, bloody, raw, and what looks like a blood clot under the head of his penis. I will be contacting his doctor today and I hope he will see him. He does'nt want us near his penis much less to wipe it or clean it. The little red bloody ball under the head has me scared.

Take him back to hospital. It doesn't sound right to me, and there is no sense taking advise from people who can't see it.
I hope it is ok!!
Best wishes

I wouldn't wait for the doctors appointment. I would definitely head of to the ER. It's better to be safe then sorry about the situation.

yes it is normal, but my question is, did the doctor give any antibiotics after the circumcision? if not he needs some to relieve the infections, hopefully after the antibiotics treatment he will be his own self, best of luck.

Poor sore little boy.

Ring your doctor and tell him it's really urgent and you would prefer to see him but if he won't, you're going to the hospital.
