Abortion is murder, period.

Don't punish your child by not giving it the chance to live because you can't keep your legs shut; it's not the child's fault that he/she was an accident. There are plenty of couples who aren't able to have children who would value the life of the child that you want to murder just because it's an inconvenience to you.

And don't give me the "it's the womans' body" line, because if it were the WOMAN'S body being aborted then the woman would die as a result of the abortion.

No, I don't BELIEVE in abortion. That's actually a really strange way of saying it but anyway...
I do agree that women should have the choice to do so or not. I really don't understand people who can say that the infant's life is more important than the mother's. Really, the mother can always have another child you know. Also, it can probably only be a man that says that when a woman is raped and she falls pregnant that she shouldn't have the choice to abort the fetus. Only if you've ever been raped and pregnant from it, would you understand why women are desperate to get rid of the fetus.
For all you oh-so-pro-lifers, will you look after the mother until she gives birth and pay for everything? Will you take that child and raise it as your own, care for it, love it, pay for it?
Very few will answer yes to this...

Basically I'm prolife. Some of the ways abortion is done isn't even allowed by law to do to animals.

I won't go so far as to say every fertilized egg is intelligent enough life to be called murder if removed. But once the fetus begins forming it is life that deserves to be protected.

Partial birth abortion is as bad or worse than euthanasia. To cut & suck one's brains out w/o anesthesia can hardly be considered a simple medical procedure when the infant is advanced far enough to function independent of it's mother's womb & feels pain. It's cruel & murder. Never is it needed to save the mother's life as the risks have already been negated by the partial delivery. But risks from the abortion are even greater.

The choice is always before conception except in the case of rape & incest. But even then there are often other options. Admittedly often in those cases they wait too long or in denial or shame. But should the child die for the father's sin?

Originally there was a 3 month cut off point. Now it can happen clear up to moments before birth. It was also paid by the govt. but if you chose life you were on your own. Though women now go to a clinic to relieve themselves of the guilt & risks, there still exists both & you rarely hear of those. Many pro choicers don't want you to. Just as they fight against requiring educating the mother before performing the abortion of the possible risks or repercussions or notifying the parents of a minor.

If you were 16 & knew you had a torn cartlidge should you be expected to choose to have arthoscopy simply because the dr. said it was a viable option & either refused to inform you or glossed or skipped the bad points? Would you be mature enough to make that decision w/o any consultation or parental intervention? As a parent would you even want your child to have to?

Long before I knew the particulars or was a christian I knew it was wrong. How much more so with both? If a practice can't stand up to scrutiny then it's not legit to begin with. It's simply a license to kill & not be held liable. Often in the case of the mother it's ignorance (full or partial) of the entire ramifications.

As for those screaming it's a woman's body most aborted babies are female. Doesn't she have any rights with her body? A baby that's naturally aborted (miscarriage) at least gets a name & is loved. Yet those aborted by drs., nurses & the mother w/o medical reasons don't even receive the dignity of a name & are tossed into a trash can. Even Hitler in his cruelty gave them a purpose of advancing medicine.

I do think it's a crime also though that alot of the same bunch screaming prolife, the insurance co. & the govt. don't provide a more viable alternative to those truly unable to afford to carry a child to term. Just because some would take advantage doesn't mean you don't have them. There has yet to be a good program that's not abused & often the abuse is more by the ones running it. But w/o them many more would suffer.

There has to be a better answer than murder, both for the sake of the children & the mother.

Yes, I believe in abortions. They do exist.

Do I believe they're a good option? I don't think they should be restricted but if my woman and I conceived a child I don't think I'd consider getting an abortion as being an option. Whatever my partner decided would be fine with me though, it is her body. That shouldn't be an issue because we are very careful.

"Thou shalt not kill?" What about all of the wars that religion has started? What about the Inquisition? The Salem Witch trials? That killing was OK, wasn't it? Don't bring that commandment into this. If the Salem trials, the Inquisition, public stoning, and wars are acceptable to the Church, that commandment is useless.

Actually I believe that abortion is the interruption of the life process in the uterus of a female human being. The individual that must abort for health reasons is beyond a doubt a troubled person none the less. An individual that aborts due to the weight of the responsibility and a lifetime of more neglect and abuse as compared to a lifetime of remorse and regret... Not all choose to take the harder path of life and the responsibilities that come with it. But there is no easy way out for abortion either. It can be repressed eventually but the cost on the unconscious level is tremendous and represents itself as a scar that will always be there.

Yes. I definately believe in it, and feel that in certain situations, it can be a necessity.

It is definately a very personal, and hard decision for someone to make, made even harder by the fact that some people out there make a moral issue out of it.

So it may not be spoken about in the bible, but does it say in the bible that the internet is good or evil? That spaceships will lead us straight to hell? Times have changed, the bible is not a guide on how to live day to day in modern day. IMO, it is there as a spiritual guide for you if you choose to believe.

Everyone has a right to do what they will with their body.
Believe what you want to, but do not force your opinions on anyone else.

For myself, I don't think I could have an abortion but freely admit I may feel differently if I was pregnant as a result of rape or if I might die (I have 2 small boys already who would need taken care of).

That said I will defend every woman's right to make her own educated choice and will help anyone through such a hard decision without judgment.

Asking "do you believe in abortion" is like asking "have you stopped beating your wife yet."

It's a bad way to word a question.

I believe in a woman's right to choose what to do with her body. She has the right not to be forced by the state to become a human incubator.

Although I wish people going to get an abortion would first consider adoption as a viable option--many people want children and can't have them.

No. I am absolutely pro-life, and I'm an atheist.

I do not think exceptions should be made for rape or incest.

For health, I think the infant is more important than the mother, and the mother's life should only be considered if there is no way at all for her to survive to bring the baby to the age of viability, even if it costs her her life.

Every single one of 50 states has a waiting list of parents who want a baby to adopt. There are literally not enough babies in the adoption system to meet demand. Unwanted babies can and WILL find homes, and can do so at little or no cost to the mother (indeed, many prospective parents will gladly pay the mother's pregnancy medical costs).

No. At the moment of conception,by the power of the Holy Spirit a new life begins .Any termination from that moment on is a grievous sin committed by the abortionist.
