The video states that much of Christianity, specifically Jesus, was copied directly from a Egyptian and Greek mythology, among others.
It's from the documentary Zeitgeist. Great film, just saw it myself today as well. They played it at documentary night on campus here.
Here's a transcript (with sources) of the portion of the film the questioner is referring to:
http://zeitgeistmovie.com/transcript.htm
The sources are there folks. Read it and follow up. To dismiss it because it doesn't conform to your beliefs is just ignorance.
And questioner, the full documentary is longer than 28 minutes. Although the parts following this one mainly deal with more current events rather than religion. Still worth watching.

hi Ann,i think of the executive problem of Christianity & doubting it fairly is credibality in accordance with 2 significant information the 1st is that jesus in simple terms in no way wrote the bible, his 12 student did it rather is why christanity lost a unifying subject of it fairly is idology by way of variety of thse scholars this variety replaced into inherdited to their adherents with a miles better scale, the two reality is the atmospher of secrecy & darkness that pops of medivals surronded the religiuos teachings the place analyzing the bible replaced into asacred undertaking consists of in basic terms good bishops upload to this the gentle relatioship between the roman emperor & the pop that in the time of the beging of christanity the state replaced into greater effectual that theemperor used faith (for the duration of guidance from the pop) to supress human beings &made them subordinated to the state so u could think of that the pope might have interfer in canceling the as against which will reason worry with the emperor secondly while the placement have been given reversed & the state deteriorrated infavor of the church the pope upload as against that make certain his authority

The stories in the Bible are re-tellings of stories that came before. That's true.
People couldn't read back then, much less write. It's all presented as someone else's work (God) anyway - so I don't see why a video would be cause for alarm.

Which version of the Bible are you referring to?
EDIT.....I have been telling people for months their Bibles are redundant. Jesus and Mary are telling us how to live our lives through their Apparitions, which nobody believes. And, time is running out.Our Lady has come to warn and to plead. She comes to call us back,to stir up our faith and to induce us to prayer and penance.Only by prayer and penance can mankind's descent to calamity be averted.Mary says"I am the ever Virgin Mary,Mother of the true God who gives life and maintains it in existence. (and no,you won't find this in your Bible)
So,whether you believe in these Apparitions or not does not matter you have been told by God what to do .Therefore can you gamble on your life where you will finally go?. Go back to your useless Bibles or start living the way God want's you to. You are already in trouble with God when you make fun of other Religions. The choice is yours .Unfortunately you will all treat this as a joke and continue with your Bibles, then it will be too late.
EDIT.....A closed mind is a terrible thing "thumbs down" people.I feel sorry for you.I want you to get to Heaven as much as i do. But i know you think i am just saying that.

People have plagiarized certain prophets who wrote books in the Holy Bible. But those books are called apocryphal (false).
The Holy Bible is true according to the Holy Spirit who leads me into all truth.
Either you believe God or you believe the devil who denies Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God. Jesus said that on the this Rock He will build His Church & the gates of hell will not prevail against it. See? Whoever or whatever religion or article or video that comes against the foundational faith confession, 'Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God', is antichrist (the gates of hell).
I may check out the video later. But I avoid antichrist propeganda.

The fact that the Israelites have Mesopotamian roots leads us to not be surprised that there will be some similarities to literature of the same period. But what determine the authenticity of the Bible are the distinct differences of the Biblical accounts from those of the literatures: i.e., what kind of boat was it; who were on the boat & saved; the role of God/gods; etc. As a result, linguistic & literary scholars who have done thorough analyses of these things have easily concluded that literary dependence cannot be founded.

Yes, it's true. Christianity borrowed extensively from prior religions.
This fact is NOT something your priest wants you to know.
We don't know exactly when these dying-reborn Gods began – they date back thousands of years, basically fading into prehistory. We do know early Christian writers recognized that Jesus came at the end of a long history of Gods who died and were reborn. According to apologist Origen, the list of death-defying gods includes:
"the Odrysian Orpheus, and the Thessalian Protesilaus, and the Taenarian Hercules, and Theseus also."
But, says Origin, the stories of these other dying-reborn Gods need not be believed,
"For each might, had he wished, have secretly withdrawn himself from the sight of men, and returned again. These older stories are myths, but the story of Jesus' death and resurrection should be believed."
So the previous gods simply hid themselves, pretending to be dead, then suddenly reappeared as resurrected . . . like peek-a-boo on steroids. But Jesus didn’t do that. Really. No, really!
Justin Martyr an early Christian apologist claimed that Satan tried to usurp Jesus by coming centuries before him to "seed" many religions with stories of virgin births, death and resurrection, etc., thus diluting Jesus' message. But, according to Justin Martyr, they are false and Jesus is real. This is sort of like the Fundamentalists of today saying that God layered fossil evidence in the earth to test our faith in him. LOL, now THAT’S a good one!
Religion is big business; they'll say anything to keep it going.

I know the truth and don't need some nitwit with a home camera to tell it to me.
Why do you watch trash ? and why would you let it bother you or weaken your faith.
spend more time in prayer and less listening to fools bound to punishment.
No I didn't watch. Waste of 28 mins.

Do you believe everything you see on a video ?
Ever considered that the maker has his own view to push ?
When they expose all the facts, it really means all the facts that support there argument.

It was plagiarized from ancient Sumer and the Enuma Elish. The stories are in their entirety in these writings.
