As I have been very active as a supporter on anti Bush political web sites, and not been shy about my identity, is there a possibillity I could be on the no fly list into the US. It would be embarrasing if that is the case, as I am planning on being a chaperone to my granddaughters band class when they are going to play with the Walt Disney orchestra in the spring.

There are now 700,000 people on the list and their names are secret. Only way to find out is try get on a plane. If it lands in Gitmo, you know you're on the list.

Is the USA still the most free country in the world?

Are you an USA citizen or resident? If so, will you be able to make a flight before the departure date of the band? In that case you can check if you are still allowed to fly.

If you are not in the USA but will go to the USA, apply for a visa, as they will check your identity against the no-fly list then.

I hope you can go, as it will be great for your granddaughters if you are there, and hard if you have to stay behind at the airport, emotionally and it might make for practical problems.

If you get on the plane, you're not on the list. I'm equally anti-bush, and have attended several protests- I still manage to fly over 100k miles a year.
