me and my boyfriend had been together for a year, but I feel that he tends to carry on with his friends a lot more than me. I mean, when ol' boy went to jail, the only person that would write to him was me, not his friends. and I guess he had been out for a week already, and the first people he called was his friends. I don't get it. It seems as if his friends are more important than me.I know that it's okay to have friends because they'll "always" be around, but why is it so different with me? I never hurted him in any type of way, nor do I cling onto him as if I were desparate. can you help me???

You've been together a year and some of that time he was in jail, when he gets out he doesn't spend time with you, move on he's a loser, I'm sure can do better haven't you spent enough time by yourself.

Not a great situation to be second fiddle to the guys. Talk to your guy and see if he is willing to change his ways a bit. If he won't listen or puts you down because you are asking for more of his time, you should tell him that you are going to find some other things to do while he is busy. Get yourself involved in an activity that you like with your friends or family. This may change his mind, but if he still spends most of his time away from you, it may be best for you to look for someone who wants to be a big ger part of your life.

Sounds like he likes you somewhat, but you're not what he's really looking for. It's time to move on.
By the way, writing to a guy when he's in jail *does* count as "desperate". Most women consider getting jailed for something to be grounds for divorce.

I have been in a few lengthy relationships. I understand what your saying. And from a guys perspective, its just because if you do (not saying you will) leave him. He will still have his friends to help him out if he needs it. Its like the saying Bros before hoes. Now not every guy will say it like that. But they do believe in it. I have been with my girl for almost 3years now, and I still hang with my friends alot. Once you understand, that untill you get married, it will always be friends first. They wont just leave because of stupid mistakes or anything. I hope that helps.

Why would you want someone thats been in jail?Why would you want someone that treats you this way?He is probably seeing other women while he is out with his "friends" Find someone that wants to spend time with you and let someone else write him when he goes back to jail,and they always go back.

Oh man. To tell you the truth, leave this guy. He is not going to be anything buy trouble to you. A girl should not have to live in an emotional rollar coaster because her guy hasn't grown up yet. If you love him way too much, talk to him bout it. Tell him it hurts you.

Break up with him. You don't need a prison convict as a boyfriend, good for nothing at all. He will be nothing but bad news. Just leave him hun.
