IF I AM CORRECT THIS VERSE IS FROM SURA NISA (MARRIAGE) OF THE HOLY QURAN. THE QURAN PROHIBITS SEX WITH YOU OWN MOM, BIOLOGICAL MOM, STEP MOM. YOU CAN MARRY YOUR ADOPTED MOM IF YOU & SHE WANTS TO & SHE BEFORE MARRIAGE IS PROHIBITED.
PEACE.
ALLAH BLESS YOU ALL.

I don't think it's just related to the Koran because i am sure that in ancient times, peoples in the Roman world weren't averse to what we would call an inappropriate relationship with ones mother, or indeed with other members of the family.

have a little dignity and dont twist things around. The quran says no such thing, except that it is wrong to marry anyone you are related directly to. and if it really did say that the way you put it, go ahead and put the verse numbers which it does, dimwit. have a little respect for yourself.

well consider the Ten Commandments..
Thou Shalt Not Murder ...
Thou Shalt Not Steal
(ETC)... WOW what kind of people were there that such advice HAD to be given.....
The thing is SOME people do things that they shouldn't do .. SURE you shouldn't have sex with your mother .. BUT nor should you murder anybody .. and WHEN you consider it .. IF you had to say that one was worse that the other .. MURDER is still the worst..
YET people STILL do it .. More so that having sex with one's mother,, despite being told NOT TO.
consider it ???

It is not written anywhere. In the initial years of human life on earth ,when the number of females were less there might not have been any restriction. When man settled and became civilised,he stopped having sex with mother.

Isn't it interesting that this question comes close on the heels of one about where Cain and Abel (actually, just Cain; Able was dead) found wives. Of course, one obvious speculation would be having sex with his mother. But of course, he went over the hill and found a wife there.
You just cannot take these things too seriously, my son. *wink*

I'd say it's good advice, and worth listening to ~ IF it is true.
And, just as II jen II said ~ the Ten Commandments could prompt someone to ask the same question!
Cheers :-)

I would certainly be suspended for answering a question like this.
I am soooo sorry, but I have to pass.
It is amazing how this place allows others to ask these questions, but I am not permitted to answer without risk of possible (and probable) deletion and suspension.
