See? We win because it is not there!
And furthermore, there is NO way Betty Boop could ever be sent to a hell.

Well, how many people would listen to the descriptions of eternal torture, believe they were true, and then choose to go there? According to the Christians, we "choose" whether we will go there or not when we "choose" whether or not we will accept Jesus can save us from it. Stop believing in hell and you stop believing in the need to be saved from it. It's sort of a package deal.
But in fact a lot of people DO believe in hell and find that they are in danger of going there. They develop pretty severe emotional problems around those sorts of religious beliefs that, for a non-random example, claim that you can go to hell for being gay.

I wish that when people try to ask intelligent questions, they use intellect as a guide.
If someone doesn't believe that hell exists, why are they in danger of going? Because YOU deem them unfit for YOUR heaven?
This is your heaven. It could also be your hell. Use your time wisely. I wouldn't spend so much time worrying about how others are going to spend their ETERNITY and try to spend more time on LIVING your own LIFE.
Just a suggestion. (I don't believe in hell, it is a waste of my time. I would rather play with Barbie dolls and eat chocolate.)

Fear of hell is a hell of a reason to believe. I see bumper stickers saying things like 'Atheists, you better hope you're right' and I think, yeah, I'll take out some insurance. I'll believe, even though I don't, so I can avoid that, if it exists.
I don't believe in God. So I don't fear hell. Why do you believe in God? Bet you don't REALLY know why, any better than I do. It's like your favorite color. It's your favorite color. No reason why it is, it just is. Belief or non-belief in God is no more than that.

Because Hell's existence is a central tenant of Abrahamic religions. Those who don't believe clearly haven't been saved, so therefore are dammed. The dammed go to Hell.
Unless you are descended from Adam (READ your bible believers) Hell IS an opt in.

Many of them don't care that they are in danger of going to Hell.
They say it will be nothing but a huge eternal party.
I think they have it backwards.
The party is in Heaven.

i couldn't have said it better myself. and besides God asks that same question to all of us...and the answer? Satan.
vot ana: do you even know the bible? the reason it is known as fiery in the first palce is because God says it is! hell is a place of suffering, not a place of sleep. learn from God about things, not your own mind. or man's mind.

Hell is simply the common grave of mankind- where everyone who is dying today goes to 'sleep', awaiting a resurrection in the last day, if God sees it fitting to resurrect them.
The teaching of a fiery hell is a false teaching, and dishonors God. The only way to avoid hell is to stay alive!!!

I believe that's the whole point of hell?
to make you be a good person?
If you don't believe in such a place, why follow rules or standards that don't apply to you?

Have you seen the people who claim their going to heaven. I don't think I could spend eternity with the likes of them. Just think about all the great people that will be in hell.
