Having watched many shows on the channels about unresolved murders, there are many cases where law enforcement has repeated called in certain psychics who have no foreknowledge of the crime.
So, you don't believe in God. But seriously, how can you sit with a straight face and try to explain away these people who reliably get results?
If you don't believe in psychics, why isn't there more of a movement to get those excluded from use in law enforcement?

Having a TV channel doesn't make it real.
Having a government group like law enforcement adds to that. Law enforcement wouldn't be using them if they were the new "snake oil" salesmen.

Folks, these shows are not about the psychics. They are about solving crimes. CourtTV and several other CRIME shows have highlighted this (and not just recently).
Now as far as ME "waking up" maybe we should be firing the head of police/law enforcement who is on the show (or in the news) saying it worked.
I made no claim to them working 100% or even a majority. What I am talking about are the few that solve them. Some of the details are just to off the wall to be guesses.
The reliability is mostly in reference to the same psychic being used by more than one agency.
Don't get me wrong, I have skepticism myself but am not an atheist.
I am asking this a more of a food for thought idea but want to hear the logic in explaining it away too.

Psychics are not of God. The bible says they are no part of God and to stay away from them.

Just like this, I discount it.
"reliably get results" ??? Are you kidding me???
There is no record of a criminal or civil case anywhere in the world that has ever been solved through psychic activity.
Sylvia Browne has been so painfully awkwardly wrong so many times, and yet people think she is a real psychic instead of the con artist she is.
Also their use by law enforcement is not as widespread as you claim. don't believe everything you see on TV.
Also, desperate people do desperate things.

Atheism and belief (or lack thereof) in psychic powers are not the same thing. An atheist could believe in psychic powers and a theist could disbelieve.
Psychics have yet to be proven. Controlled experiements show their powers to be non-existent. Statistical analysis of real world data shows them to be non-existent.
Remember, TV shows are after ratings, not fighting for truth and justice. They know gullible people will watch psychic shows (and secretly believe they have, or wish they had, "the gift").

Given : psychics do work
If an atheist that I don't know why they work or a theist says that God makes them work the bottom like is still the same;neither side can explain how they work
The only difference is that the atheist is smart enough to admit what he doesn't know and the theist isn't

You see a TV show that holds up dozens of examples of it working.
You never see a TV show about the thousands of times that the psychic doesn't provide any useful evidence at all.
This is how psychism works -- people notice the hits and totally overlook the misses.

A movement? Why? Psychics are hardly used at all.
And as to your claim of reliability - put up some evidence. 'Psychics' like to trumpet the few times they are right, while conveniently ignoring all the times they were wrong.

If they were that good they would be used in every case and there would be 100% clear up. And what is the connection with gods.

So having a TV channel makes it truth ...... darn, you should believe the mighty Thor is real. He has a book, a comic and a whole series of cartoon and TV show for himself.

They *don't* reliably get results, unless you consider pure chance a result! Read something besides biased reports from the embarrassed suckers who fell for their scams, why don't you? I recommend "Flim-Flam" by James Randi.

I'm an Atheist and a psychic. One has nothing to do with the other. I'm a spiritual Atheist, actually. Like you said, they get results. Why get rid of something that is working? That's like trying to fix something that isn't broken.
