There really are many ways to make oatmeal - i like it with egg whites or egg beater, flax seeds and top with avocado chunks; or make it sweet with all kinds of berries, fruit, nuts, seeds, honey, preserves etc.
Lately i have been eating for breakfast toasted whole wheat pita pockets filled with grilled chicken, skim cheese and veggies.
or you can toast whole grain waffles and eat them with fruit/berries and honey

Filling up at breakfast will help you avoid snack cravings throughout the day. Eggs are great because they have been proven to be an appetite suppressant. Other options include whole grain breads (like Whole Grain English Muffins), grain cereals, and/or oats. Substituting skim milk for whole milk will help cut around 5 pounds per year. Also, if you’re having coffee, try sugar substitutes or turbino sugar rather than white sugar. And lay off those flavored creamers and try skim milk.
Since a healthy diet requires 3 servings of fruit and 5-8 servings of vegetables per day, you should try to fit a couple of these in every morning. V8 has fruit juice, vegetable juice, and a new vegetable/fruit fusion juice that tastes like fruit and would help take care of these requirements. Also, trade in your morning coffee for a smoothie by mixing fruit and vanilla yogurt. Don’t be afraid to use frozen fruits, they tend to be fresher than supermarket fruit because distributers freeze them shortly after being picked, rather than having them sit in hot trucks for days.

Oh come on, besides oatmeal? You can make oatmeal like 20 different ways.
Anywhoo, make a protein smoothie (protein powder, yogurt and/or water and/or milk, along with some, but not a lot of frozen fruit).
Eggs. Yeah, you heard me, eggs. High in protein, low in fat, and the cholesterol doesn't effect your cholesterol level at all unless you eat a dozen eggs or more a week. Make a healthy omellette with veggies or poach them, scramble 'em, sunny side up, whatever. Eat them alone or with one piece of whole wheat bread.

I found a good recipe for scrambled eggs that are good for you. I usually use 2-3 eggs but I only use the yolk from 1 and the whites from all and then scramble them. This with some whole wheat toast is a very filling, healthy breakfast and very yummy too!
