You can be so ignorant. Read Tebone's answer. You know nothing about language or its' usage. Give us all a break and stop copying other people's questions. Take a few religion classes, some logic and critical thinking would help, too. If nothing else, take Spanish and you would learn that it is a Latin derivative. Why don't you learn Hebrew and you could make the translations for yourself. You are a H U G E waste of time. Do you go to school? Work? Or do you just stay on the Internet day and night asking questions? Go find the answers for yourself instead of constantly begging for help on the Internet. Do something to better your pitiful existence. I'll pray for you, but if I am this fed up with your childishness, how do you think God feels?

Who are you trying to convince, Christians or your self?
Atheists don't believe in God, and that is their choice. But why do some of you try so hard to prove God and the Bible wrong, if you don't believe in it. Of course, you think that you are the only one that can be right and no body else can be. I don't know why you even bother to put a question in here that you think you already have the answer to, and don't want to except any thing else. Why bother. You are so much smarter then any one else, in your opinion. All that you have done is to show how childish you can be. It isn't Christians that you are trying to defeat, it is a being that you say doesn't exist. But He can't be defeated. Have a nice night

If there's a God, then that God has no loose will.it rather is authentic for any customary monotheistic God, no longer purely the christian one. no longer purely does the existence of God logically, philosophically and theologically deny the opportunity of loose will, however the Bible additionally says and teaches that there is not any loose will. interpreting Exodus, Ecclesiastes 7, Ephesians a million, Ephesians 2, Acts 13, Romans 8, Romans 9, 2 Timothy, 2 Thessalonians and Revelations, we see that God's plan overrides our loose will; people who do solid do the particular solid that God predestined them to do, and all others are ruled by devil because of the fact God sends "powerful delusions" to them. The Christian Bible regularly states that God creates our destiny and comes to a decision our fates, no rely what our very own will is. It consistently denies that we've loose will. the quite a few maximum suitable Christians in heritage have taught that there is not any loose will, which incorporate St. Augustine (between the 4 great founders of Western Christianity), Martin Luther (founding father of Protestantism) and John Calvin.

GREAT TRY !!!!
Why do you spend so much time trying to prove something you will never be able to do. Why not spend this time trying to find God and your purpose in life then try to prove something which is impossible.
“And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven” (Matthew 23:9).
The Father here is God and it means not to have anyone taking place of God here on earth but God Himself.
We do know that catholics like to be called fathers and they also think they are a continuation of Christ or another Christ but that is wrong teaching.
I will be awaiting for your next question but hopefully then you will be searching for God and not trying to prove he impossible. God bless

Sorry, but I don't feel defeated.
If you will look at the context of the comment, Jesus was referring to using titles of honor among his followers. He was commenting on the pride of those who loved to be called 'Rabbi' in his day. They loved the elevation, the status.
He was making the point that among his disciples all are brothers and are not to be elevated by calling one Rabbi, or Teacher, or Father.
It is important to read Scripture with an open heart seeking for the meaning of what was said. 'To him who has ears, let him hear.'
I am sorry that you are so out to 'defeat' the Christians. I confess I don't like religion and religious stuff. I do love Jesus because he is worthy, kind, true, righteous, trustworthy, and King of All. My prayer for you is that Jesus would reveal his great love for you, to you in a supernatural way that will bypass your set up defences. May you be blessed!

There is no defeat. No crawling into a corner. My Heavenly Father gave me my earthly father to teach and to raise me to honor and glorify my Heavenly Father. I am so glad that my Father in Heaven tells of His Love in the book He has given. Besides I call my earthly father- daddy. Even though I am an adult he is still daddy.

"Cornering Christians", is that a new way to entertain your self & utilize your time (given to us ALL by God) while here on Earth??? You have obviously gotten the scripture references from the Bible, keep reading because His word changes lives!
If it were not for my Heavenly Father & My Creator I would not know what a decent Father was like!!

I am sorry but I am a 60 year old Jewish man. You didn't convince me with your circular logic. I am sure you did not convince a single Christian. What you did do is show how simple minded you are. There is no need to call other peoples beliefs wrong. What a person believes or disbelieves is a matter for them to decide. I cannot change their inner feelings, they cannot change mine. Why is it necessary for you to play the clown and insult all religions?

One of the 10 comanments Reads honor your father & your mother that you may live many yrs. You atheist are always taking scripture out of context. In this verse He is reffering to those that have taken up titles like in the church. Blessed is the man that does not walk in the way of the of the ungodly nor stand in the way of sinners or sit in the sit of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the Lord. First Psalm. Amen!!!!!!!!!

How do you think you can battle Christians with the Word of God?
Don't you know the Word of God is our sword?
The Armor of God
10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
See? You are doing the work of the devil.
Even God tells us to honer our Father and Mother.
Jesus is talking about using titles as the Catholic priest do.
NEVER DEFEATED!!
We have Victory in Jesus.
