First Know The Purpose of Life !

2007-11-02 02:21:16 · answer #2 · answered by Sabb 1 · 0 2

Life means to be in existence. What is the reason for our existence? Every single answer here that says that we invent our own purpose is saying that we created ourselves for a reason. This is ridiculous.

Either there is no reason for our existence or that reason resides with our Creator.

Those who say to invent your own purpose are really telling us how to focus on activities that make us feel good and to keep us too busy to think about a purposeless existence.

If God does exist, He must have put our great need for purpose into our nature so that we would seek Him. Indeed, our purpose would then be to seek our Creator.

Life is what you make of it.
It has nothing to do with anything supernatural, becuase-- wait for it!-- there's ONLY nature, and you, and I, and the whole freakin' cosmos is part of natural reality. There is nothing "beyond" nature. And even if there was, how would such a thing have any effect on your purpose?
Your purpose, whatever it may be, is yours to define-- if you've got the testicles (or ovaries, as they case may be).

Be brave. Let some light into your cave, turn around, and see that the shadows you've been watching are just your imagination. Time to step into the real world. You can do it!

Well, what the purpose of living if there IS a GOD?

Are you saying that having a superior in some sense gives us more of a purpose to live?

The purpose of all life, including that of humans, is to efficiently spread entropy in the universe.

Simply being alive spreads entropy because of your metabolism. Continuing to live is the most basic instinct of every living organism. Reproduction also directly increases entropy and is the second-most basic instinct of life. Learning, teaching, creating artwork, and the other things people claim are their purpose in life all ultimately lead to an increase in entropy.

Many people might be repelled by this idea because they see entropy as chaos and believe that this idea advocates anarchy. In fact, it does not. The most efficient ways to spread entropy always involve self-organizing systems. The political concept which most fits that idea is democracy, not anarchy, and certainly not dictatorships or theocracies.

You have assigned the purpose of life to God. Therefore whatever you reassign your purpose in life too.

The purpose of life is subjective. It is up to the individual to create that purpose. Life is also overly vague, animals and plants posses life too and neither of them believes in god, to them the purpose of life is to reproduce, because without it, then life would end.

Humm.... well this is bit philo. But May be some reality, U can't say there is no GOD. Look around u. there is a god, and whats god ?
Let me explain a little ok.God is every where, it can't be seen, its neighter created or distroyed, it as many forms and names...as exactly the definition tally with law of energy.Energy can nt be created, not seen not distroyed, changes forms etc etc.....so its like god=energy, and energy= nature...Better it is taken like God is all the natural things around u...and its every where.....from atoms to all heavenly bodies there is god...
As u asked= If there is no god..then probably there is no universe...
Thx
Best of luck, be happy.

If there were no God...there would be no life.

The purpose of life is God expressing Him/Herself
and your purpose is to be what you were created to be
(which is in God's image)
