sometimes i feel like i'm having anxiety attacks when i can't see or talk to my bf. i dont even know why it happens and i tried to talk to counselors on campus but one was "in training" and pretty much made me feel worse, and the other one had a waiting list of over a month.

why do i feel so anxious/nervous when i'm not talking to or spending time with my bf? am i really just that dependent on him? any tips to not be so dependent on my bf to be happy?

fyi we're 21 and 22, at different colleges 3 hours away...but next semester we'll be in the same town.

You are just feeling insecure. The problem is that insecurity makes you act too needy. Needy is not attractive on anyone. You need to build up your own self confidence, and not depend on others to make you feel good about yourself. Try taking some of that free time you have to read up on how to gain confidence in yourself. Check the library for books on self esteem. They can be very helpful. Good luck!!

I understand how you feel. However you really need to work on yourself. Do you have any hobbies? What other things in life make you happy?

I think its great that you recognize this problem now rather than when its to late to help yourself.

You need to enjoy yourself. Go get a massage, or go exercise, read a book, or anything! When I am not with my bf I miss him and of course want to be with him 24/7. But thats not healthy, we both need our own time for reflection.
So I will do a number of things to enjoy myself when I am not with him.
Rent a movie
Go out with friends
crafts
clean =(
visit family
Yoga...

Never rely on someone else to make you happy. What if you lost this person..then what? You need to be strong.
