do you think that they're doing a good thing IF that lie causes an actual Muslim to convert to Christianity, OR are they doing a bad thing (lying about being ex-muslims) no matter what ?

never met one before, but lying is never a good idea. Jesus said "I am the way, the TRUTH, and the light..." Lying about anything is not a christian ideal and potentially more damaging than helpful when that lie is discovered.

As a Muslim convert to Christianity I would not be too keen to tell anyone and I might even lie about it - such an admission could cost me my life - and I am not that keen to die just yet..
Don't misunderstand. I am not an ex-Muslim and admitting you were would not only have repercussions for you but also your family. So be careful how you judge such.

According to the Quran it's OK for Muslims to lie, but God says it's never OK. The true God is a God of truth. He has no use for lies.

Why should it matter what religion they were or are? If they are trying to come closer to whatever God they believe in, then let them do it... If they don't want to believe in God then let them do it. As long as it's not hurting anyone who cares?

Christians, how do you feel about people who proclaim to be Christian, and do not follow the teachings of Jesus?

Christians should be more concerned of that!
