I am usually salved by Faith - she works

That salve doesn't get on there by itself. It takes some work.
It might require some degree of faith the salve actually does anything.

Neither one. We are saved by the death of Jesus Christ on the Cross. Nothing we do can save us. Not doing works. Not having faith. Salvation is a free gift. Like any free gift however, it must be accepted before it can be received. The 2,000 year teaching of the Church, and the Bible which reflects that same teaching, both make it extremely clear that the TWO required means of accepting the gift of salvation are faith and works. There are multiple passages in Scripture that emphasize each of these. They cannot be separated. Works without faith is mere humanitarianism. Faith without works is dead and useless. Faith produces works, and works build faith. The two work hand in hand, which is why neither one without the other is sufficient for salvation. God's grace is the source of both our faith and our inspiration to do good works. Therefore salvation is always by grace alone, but it is never by faith alone or by works alone.

Salved?

We are saved by the grace of God. Works are necessary in a Christian life, but they do not save us. We are still held accountable for what we do.

Grace from God
Redemption from Christ
Sanctification through the Holy Spirit.

Ephesians
2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
2:9
Not of works, lest any man should boast.
2:10
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

It is by faith alone that we are saved, It requires nothing from us but faith. However the natural product of a saved individual is good works, not thier own good works, but the works Jesus does thru them.

There is a difference between a Knowledge of God and a Knowing God, It is estimated that 90% of americans Believe there is a God, however by the figures produced by many christian resources show a very few of those have a personal relationship with God, and have truely accepted him as saviour. Have you?

If not you can know him now. The Bible says all have sinned and come short of the glory of god, and that the wages of sin is death, but Because God loved you so much he sent his only begotten son to die for you, paying the sin debt in full, It says if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus Christ and believe God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved!

Ephesians 2:2-17 says it best. To paraphrase. It is by grace we are saved through faith. Meaning the grace of God to us through faith in Jesus and what He did to accomplish our salvation. A person CAN be saved by grace/faith only BUT that isn't what God desires of us. Our works will show our faith in God and our thanks and love to Him. Works help others. Works can further the kingdom of God. Works can bring others to God. Faith saves, works can lead to what might help save others.

By faith alone are we saved ("your acts of righteousness are as filthy rags to the Lord" and "My grace is sufficient for thee"), but by your fruit shall you be known.

(or salved ;' ) )
