No. Belief in the bible only recognizes the fact that many stories were written about a many great things in the history of mankind. If you accept only the convenant of the chosen people (Judaism-Old Testament), then you are aligning yourself to be Jewish. If you also accept the new covenant: the life, death and resurrection of Christ, then you are accepting Christianity. Christianity would not exist without Judaism. Does belief in the history books about the American Revolution mean you are an American? You can believe in the bible and christianity can still be foreign to you.

I'm assuming you mean that you believe what the Bible teaches. The Bible teaches that Jesus Christ is the Savior. I think that if you believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God, you are a Christian.

EDIT: As I thought about it more, I remembered an episode from the Bible where evil spirits recognized that Jesus was the Son of God. Obviously they are not followers of Christ, although they believe that He was the Son of God. So I would add that to be a Christian you have to believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God AND desire to follow His teachings.

The Bible, being the word of God, is very nourishing and very necessary to the Christian life, and believing what's written there is smart and righteous. But being a Christian means so much more than that. It means being truly sorry for your sins and trying your best not to continue sinning. Asking Jesus Christ to be the Lord and Savior of your life, believing in His death and resurrection as payment in full for all your wrongs, and accepting His great gift of forgiveness and eternal life. Putting Him first in all things, turning aside from earthly lusts, serving Him, obeying Him, trusting Him, and learning to love Him and others before yourself. It's a wonderful way to live--and I do mean *live*!

No. satan quoted scripture to Jesus when he tempted Him to sin. So, reading/believing the bible is true doesn't make you a Christian.

All Christians believe in the Bible, but that isn't what makes them Christians. A Christian is someone who has asked God to attribute Christ's sacrifice for sins to his life. He is one who let's Jesus be the "boss" of his life.

No- only believing and confessing that Jesus is the Son of God and that He is risen from the dead makes you a Christian. My folks believe in the Bible, but they are not Christians. There's a lot of good moral teaching in there. A lot of our laws in society are based on Judeo-Christian principles, but obviously that doesn't make our country Christian.

To be a Christian means to accept Jesus as your savior and believe in the Word (the Bible).

Not particularly. Believing in God, praying to God, being baptised and confirmed, going to church or Bible study, being a church leader - none of these things necessarily means you are a Christian. A Christian is a person who believes that Jesus Christ is God, that he resurrected from the dead (and is therefore alive today) and was born of a virgin (indicating his sinless nature).
