I found that a cast iron skillet works best. I learned this technique from Alton Brown (the smartest chef in the world in my opinion). And don't worry this method can be used with any thickness of steak (except for fillet mignon perhaps).
Pop a cast iron skillet in the oven at 400 degrees. Let it pre-heat for about an hour before cooking to get the skillet piping hot.
Prep your steaks by lightly coating both sides with safflower oil (rather than canola or vegetable because safflower oil won't burn off as quickly as the rest causing so your steaks won't stick to the pan as badly). Sprinkle kosher salt and fresh ground black pepper on both sides.
Set your timer and cook the steaks between 2-4 minutes on each side depending on how well you want your steaks cooked.
Rest the meat for 2 minutes by placing a bowl in the center of a large plate and positioning your steaks so that it sits on the side of the bowl with one end touching the plate in order for the fat to trickle out. Cover the entire thing with foil to keep warm then serve.
Hope this helps. Believe me it's quicker and easier than it looks and the steaks come out perfect every time for us!

I do! Slice a steak side ways and add stuffing to it (If you want to use Stove Top stuffing, it works great...just prepare it as directed on the box)...place the steaks on a baking sheet and put in the oven on 350 degrees for an hour. To keep them moist, cover with a lid or foil during baking. A little water in the baking dish will keep steak moist and from sticking

You can broil it on a cookie sheet. Preheat the pan before placing the steak on it. I also pan fry steak.

Get a large seasoned cast iron skillet or griddle and thin steaks.
Season the steaks, and get the skillet or griddle screaming hot. Just sear each side, and turn off the heat. Take the meat off when it reaches the level of doneness desired.
Enjoy! (This smells wonderful!)

Broil it

Yes there is a boiler pan that you need. If you have a gas stove (which I myself prefer) the broiler is in the bottom.
