That's a good question and I'm sure many wonder the same things at times. There are so many reasons why I believe in God.Where do I start? The Bible says," the fool hath said there is no God."I understand why you would be baffled by the perceived injustices in this world. But know this, on judgment day Gods going to exicute absolute and perfect justice to everyone. It is true good deeds are rewarded and bad deeds are punished but it's just a matter of Gods timing not ours.I can defiantly relate to your frustration concerning the fact that in this world life just isn't fair, but it's not Gods fault ,it's mans.God is constantly getting a bad rap.People need to start blaming the devil, themselves, and how the masses have allowed wickedness to be shoved down societies throat, and the sad thing is,is that society is gobbling it up and begging for more. But to answer your basic question.Have you seen the Milky Way?or your first child born?or considered all that's involved in each human life? The proofs of God are endless, all of creation screams out the reality of God.If you can't see it then you've been blinded by the devil and refuse to see the truth of God.And usually that's because when it comes to doing our own thing and living our own lives the way we would please God becomes quite inconvenient because it means we must be accountable for our actions and that's no fun, so its just easier to say he doesn't exist and close are eyes and put our fingers in our ears and chant Lalalalalala,I can't hear you.

I don't. I'm just happy to have even been born because that in itself is lucky. Here, enjoy these few quotes.
Robin Williams: [talking about Fundamentalists] In the beginning, Genesis, 'let there be light.' Could that be a metaphor for the Big Bang?
[hillbilly voice]
Robin Williams: 'No. God just went click.'
[imitates flipping a light switch]
Robin Williams: So you're saying we're all descended from Adam and Eve, we're all cousins?
[confident hillbilly voice]
Robin Williams: 'That's right!'
[imitates playing banjo]
"I do not believe in god because I do not believe in Mother Goose."
"Religion has actually convinced people that there's an invisible man living in the sky who watches everything you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of 10 things he does not want you to do. And if you do any of these 10 things he has a special place full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry for ever and ever until the end of time...but he loves you." - George Carlin
“We are all atheists about most of the gods that humanity has ever believed in. Some of us just go one god further.” - Richard Dawkins

First, I turned to God after science could not answer the questions I have. Think for a moment. Secularly, you have to believe the big bang happened (and then pick and choose which theory you believe there and there are other serious issues in those). You MUST believe that life came from lifelessness (which so far has only happened ONCE on this planet).
I believe that science is us discovering how God did things.
As I have grown in being a Christian (and I still consider myself a neophyte) but I do not believe that simply being a Christian will automatically make it all good for you. You have to do your part and make good choices.
The only real control anyone has in their life are the choices they make to situations given them.
I hear what you are saying but I have seen things in my life that are way too much to be coincidental and statistically against the events happening as needed.

I, too, have struggled with the concept of a higher power and sometimes I still do.
But what allows me to have faith is what I do. When I study the vast complexity of the planet, how everything works together, I simple cannot leave that completely to chance.
I do tend to take a more deist view of creation, that is, I believe God set things in motion, then everything obeyed the laws of science. But I do believe that God can be a personal God if you can connect to God like that.

Don't look to your life's circumstances as evidence for or against God.
God gave the first man dominion over the earth and one single little rule. When the rule was broken, he was on his own.
Your circumstances (and everybody elses) are the result of the course mankind has taken since man rejected God.
Please remember that Jesus was also rejected and is currently at the right hand of God awaiting the time when He will return to take over what he purchased.
Being a Christian doesn't mean having a nicer life here. It means being aligned with the creator of life and the coming King.
Besides, it's the right thing to do. If everybody obeyed the commandments of God, the world would be a paradise. Don't steal, don't lie, don't murder . . . What's the point of rejecting what's right?
If this life sucks whether or not you believe in God, why not live your life according to what's right and make this place better for your children and their children?

As the ant doesn't understand the superior brain of a human being....it does not mean we do not exist. Just as we do not understand God...and all the workings of His mind, does does not mean He doesn't exist. One only needs to watch nature shows to see the Master Designer at work. Perhaps it is just man's ego that wants to believe he is the smartest/most intelligent lifeform?
I personally feel it's ridiculous to think that everything in this life evolved from nothing. The details in each creation/creature, the beauty of the earth and the way it all runs with precision (before we started messing with it)...screams CREATED. In my opinion, it takes so much more faith to believe the evolution theory.

I dont believe in god, I dont believe everything happens for a reason. I do believe that s*** happens and there really isnt much you can do about it but simply enjoy the ride. I believe there is no afterlife, you get only one life so do the best you can and have no regrets.

Weak people need something to believe in so they dont fall apart. If you know your a good person and you dont do mean things like kill people- you shouldnt have to devote your life to something that may or may not be true. I think youll enjoy the video- Who wrote the Bible- google it- this movie taught me alot.

You really do, but you are not convinced He is a good guy. The best folks to ask are those that are in worse situations than you. Pray and meditate once in a while. If you get a chance, visit the sculture of the "Mystery of Life" at Forest Lawn cemetary in Glendale, CA. It is in the area of the statue of David. See if you can find yourself in that sculture and discover the mystery of life for yourself. Good luck.
