Hmm, rust on the body is a big one. Check out nicoclub.com, they have a forum area with a platform specific forum on this vehicle. They have tons of information and can answer pretty much any question, as well as present any possible extras with the car, as you could think of, whether its maintenance, modification, or restoration.

If its a carbuerated car its probly the carb. It needs to be cleaned. If its not even cranking then its either the batterie, the starter motor, or you've got an open circiut going from batterie to starter motor. leaving a car sitting for a year is not a good idea. Gas starts getting old a month after you get it, so whatevers in your tank should be draind or diluted with good gas. It could even be a comboof problems. you just need to go through each one systematicly. Adding some specifics might also help us diagnos what wrong.

Providing your battery is charged up the engine turns over. Craw under the car locate the silver colored fuel pump right rear near the differential. Crank the starter do you hear the fuel pump buzz! Now have some one crank the car while you knock the fuel pump with a small hammer or screwdriver handle right on it's side not the electrical terminals they break off. Many times fuel pump electric motor that is surounded with gasoline brushes get stuck. A little bump knock tap is all it takes to get the pump buzzing again.
