I just started smoking a tobacco pipe. I have the packing and tamping techniques down pretty well. I also smoke cigarettes. I was wondering if it was common practice to inhale pipe tobacco smoke.

Yes definitely, i used to smoke a pipe but went back to rolling my own cigarettes, i smoked a pipe for 15 years.
There are also quite a lot of different flavored pipe tobacco, my favorites were Cherry Cavendish, Chocolate Whiskey, and Rum, but it's always up to your individual taste...

Pipe tobacco is natural tobacco. I have tried rolling it, it was really moist and so mild I could barely seem to get a drag. I guess if you left it to dry maybe it would be more like a cigarette I inhale pipe tobacco from the pipe when I do smoke it. I first got a pipe and pipe tobacco for my Bday, I was just going to smoke the pipe and stop smoking cigarettes, just to be different. So I just smoked the pipe instead of cigarettes, at the end of the day I started coughing up a lot of phlegm, which im used to from cigarettes, but a lot more then usual. So now I just save it for once in a while. I cant say which would be more unhealthy, I do think it would be pipe tobacco. Even though they put a ton of chemicals in cigarettes, they do work to try to make them less harmfull, by taking some tar out, making it burn slower. Pipe tabbaco is just raw tobacco. I wouldn't do it to switch for cigarettes, but if your just going to do it like once in a while, like I do with the pipe. I wouldnt worry about it. I do it once in a while. Just not everyday cause its hard on the lungs

Not sure why you want to inhale pipe tobacco. Just smoke it in a pipe and taste the flavors. Chances are the tobacco you are looking at is just cigarette tobacco anyway since they do that to avoid taxes.

Personal choice really. I don t inhale aromatics but pipe virginia with a bit of black cavendish is pleasant to inhale.

No, your not supposed to inhale pipe tobacco, or cigars for that fact. Pipe smoke is supposed to be tasted in the mouth.

Inhaling pipe/cigar tobacco is extremely bad for you. The smoke, beings unfiltered, contains a much larger amount of tar than cigarette smoke. I smoke cigars and pipes and i only inhale if I really need a quick buzz. But then again, I smoke more for the relaxing feeling of rolling smoke and the pleasent aroma, not o get buzzed.

I don't recomend inhaling anything other than air
Even non inhaling tobacco is BAD.......and addictive
