Like if I went to a baby party and had to take my shoes off.As I left my shoes were missing.It seems childless people would immediately offer to pay.But parents seem oblivious to my stolen $485.00 shoes.

Why wear $485.00 shoes to a babies party? Who were you trying to impress with your extravagance?
Even if I didn't have a child I wouldn't offer to pay for the lost shoes but would tell you I would look into who took them and get them back for you. I am sure that there was no strangers at the party if it was for a baby.

Shoes Are For Walking in, So you Dont Get Stuff Stuck or Cutting Your Feet... why not just get normals shoes for under $100, or if its a style, fashion thing, im sure they are cheaper.

I'm sure the peoples who's house it was felt terrible that your shoes went missing, but expecting them to replace them ...well that's a bit rough!

I don't think parents are being selfish... believe me, once you have kids, you'll be working on a tight budget... and I dont know if you can still afford to buy a $500 by that time.

first of all.....who buys almost $500.00 shoes?? and i dont think anone with or without children would be willing to pay that much for YOUR shoes if they were stolen....and too.....parents dont usually have $500.00 spare just sittin around.....KIDS R EXPENSIVE!!!!!!
