freezing or making your self hot enough to sweat? the colder you are the harder your body works to keep warm thus burns cals, but going in a sweatroom(or something of the sort), makes you hot and your body works hard to cool off, which burns more calories?

You burn more calories when you are freezing. The body works overtime trying to maintain 98.6.

Neither.

(Where do all these people get such BAD information?)

I can't believe how many people think that sweating and/or not eating burns fat and calories. Or that freezing makes your body work harder so that will burn fat/calories. ALL WRONG. Those are some of the dumbest things I've ever heard.

The ONLY thing that burns fat and calories is........EXERCISE.
That's it. It's a fact.

Why do you think there are so many overweight and obese people in the world? Because exercise is HARD work. Everyone wants an easy, magical way to lose weight and there is no such thing.

As I live in the middle of the equator Malaysia it's hot, a10 minute walk leaves me drenched in sweat. I vote for warm, cause it is good for blood flow. After giving birth we Malay ladies are subject to heated stone treatment. We heat a river stone wrap it in acloth and apply it on the fat and flabby stomach. Works as it reduces the fat in the abdomen. So between a freeze and heat, heat's better. Anyway saunas r good anti toxin remedies. You just gotta remember to drink lots of plain water to cleanse and avoid being dehydrated.

In cold body works a lot harder to keep body warm.
In heat/sauna you sweat out water and then regain it in a minute - body doesnt burn as much cooling off.

this is stupid, but freezing yourself will raise your basal metabolic rate to a higher point before death occurs than will being in a really hot environment. in other words both hypothermia and hyperthermia increase your BMR up to a point until both conditions kill you, the thing is that you can tolerate hypothermia to a greater degree than hyperthermia. if your body sets a higher metabloic rate it will need more calories to mantain homeostasis, for example shivering when your cold generates heat, and so you need energy. you need to work out however if you want to loose weight, ok?

Any cardio artwork-out and eating 8 8oz glasses of water an afternoon will burn energy quickest. you do no longer could d/l something, consume a nicely balanced weight loss software, sleep 8 hours, drink a lot of water, and do 30-60 minutes of cardio commonplace.

steam room is way better! just don't stay there for too long, & don't do it dailly!!! you can die like that b/c this one guy did that everyday! and one day, he just died!!! so just keep that in mind!

also, i don't think its a good idea to freeze yourself.. even though it somehow burns calories, i heard it's not good to make body cold (like on purpose), especially your stomachs! and i mean, us girls will have kids in the future, so making your body cold will somehow not be good... sorry i can't give you more details about that... maybe you should research that part...
