since nov.1 is halloween, is it holiday in the u.s.?

the 31st is considered a holiday, but it's not celebrated the same as a Federal Holiday is. Banks aren't closed and Federal employees still have to work.

Is that what you meant?

October 31st is Halloween. It is a holiday (I guess) but everyone continues life the same way. No days off of job/school. So in that way it isn't a holiday. But there are cards for it and decorations!

not a national holiday... and i don't think anyone celebrates nov. 1.. they've just forgotten about it... Hey, what can we say the took Colombus Day out!!!
