If it's made at home, fried chicken with mashed potatoes and
gravy, green bean casserole or green beans with minced
onion and canned mushrooms, and maybe some dressing and cranberry sauce. Followed by a slice of apple, cherry or
marionberry pie (with or without ice cream or whipped topping). Then a good cup of coffee with milk and sweetner
tops it all off.
If it's dining out, then it's a combination of Chinese entrees
starting with egg foo young, fried rice, and battered and fried
shrimp, and a pork or chicken chopped suey (instead of chow
mein). And a side of gravy to cover the rice and suey, rather
than using soy sauce.
My second favorite for dining out, is battered fillet of sole
and french fries from a special restaurant that really packs
them in, called Newport Bay. It's a local chain unfortunately.
I love to eat, and now have to restrict my diet from all of
the former temptations. But I'm only human, and still indulge
my favorites maybe once a month at just one restaurant.
Oh, I also splurge for a hot fudge sundae once every
few months. Often, that can qualify for my favorite food, since
I get it so rarely. My hips hate me, when that happens LOL.
