okay in a closed ecosystem, how do plants get the nutrients they need?

They absorb sunlight by using photosynthesis and produce energy to be able to grow, they need to absorb lots and lots of water for hydration, and they also need a rich soil that has alot of nutrients in it.

Nutrient Cycling; plants grow, die, decay and add organic material to the soil which supplies nutrients.

In a closed ecological system the waste products of one species are used by another species. Plants use the wastes generated by the animals. Closed system work is done in order explore space and underwater habitats.
