a sales tax issue that went bad 12yrs ago is coming back to haunt us-it was a business partner that took the money and ran instead of paying the sales tax the state has decided twelve yrs later to come after us with outragously high estimatesate. ive tried refiling with amounts that are closer to reality but no response i need an attorney that can help & go after the expartner for his share because supposedly they cant find him but i know exactly where he is

my question is are there any attorneys that deal with these sales tax issues ive tried everywhere irs atorney out hte wazoo but none for state sales tax

im in ohio and i filed an ust-1 form for the months they said were never filed a few months ago neverthought twice about it you know how long the state can take to respond- but now we got a letter saying we owe their original estimates which are way high

What do you mean, you had no response to a return you filed. The state will at least tell you No.

You are not really asking us a question. You say you need an attorney to sue your ex-partner. You also need help dealing with the state. You are on the right track. Just do it.
