Ask about "allisyn". It is natural derived from garlic. I know pregnant women shouldn't take it but don't know about breastfeeding...maybe pump a couple of days until it is out of your system and give the baby the bottle for a few days. You can both get healthy and then go back to your routine.
Allisyn usually helps amazingly at first sign of onset - it is like a natural antibiotic.
This is what I know about Allisyn: (As told to me by my Medical Doctor) Acts against bacteria, virus and fungus etc. Does not kill good bacteria. Contains garlic, cinnamon etc. Gentle on GI track. Does not disrupt good bacteria. Prevents mold, yeast etc. Antibiotic replacement.
For Adult acute symptoms (like a blood thinner) 2 capsules 3 times a day until symptoms go down maximum of 2 days then 1 to two capsules twice a day maximum of 2 days. One a week if used for prevention.

Stay away from drugs. Antihistamines and decongestants will cause you more harm that good by dehydrating your body.Take a half glass of warm water with 2 teaspoons of salt and inhale by the teaspoon into your nostrils. Blow this out and repeat. This will get rid of your infection. Don't blow your nose too hard-you will develop lesions which will attract infection. Before you go to bed, put vicks on the bottom of your feet and put socks on. This will stop the cough for 8 hours so you can rest. Inhale hot water vapor to moisturize the sinuses and stay warm.

Use warm salt water as a nasal spray. I would think twice about taking an antibiotic for a minor infection these days. Overuse of antibiotics, is what is causing the outbreak of MRSA that is so dangerous, and can kill you. Use Vick Vaporub. We didn't run for the antibiotics everytime we got a little congestion, in years past, and I personally won't do it now.

Try zithromax. They've got a generic out for it (so it's cheaper) and it's good stuff. The nicest thing about it is it's a one a day thing and you only have to take it for five days.
Btw, make sure you tell your doctor about these allergies, and they should be able to work around it. I'm not absolutely certain zithromax is completely unrelated to keflex (I want to say it is--I don't think there are any other medications derived from that), but I do know it's safe if you have allergies to penicillin.

I hope to goodness you called your doctor. Tell them your son is allergic, they will prescribe something else.
I always took sudafed for my sinuses. One sudafed ( the real stuff) and 2 ibuprofens, when I start to feel my sinuses cloggin up. You can try vicks vapor rub to help you drain, hang your head over steam. There are alternatives.

Are you sure you have a sinus infection. It sounds more like the flu and antibiotics won't help that anyway.
Buy some Manuka honey and mix it with lemon juice ; sip on this as often as needed.

Use formula for your baby and take medication to heal yourself...sinusitis is usually caused by a virus (mostly from common colds, influenza, etc.) so you need to get better before your baby becomes ill

Go to your GP and ask for something other than Kephlex. Tell him/her about your baby's reaction, and see what he/she says. Good luck.
