OK, I just went and talked to my mom and told her how I was feeling, and I said that I wouldn't be able to concentrate on my math test tomorrow, which is really important. Im staying over at a friends house tomorrow, and I really want to, but I dont wanna get her sick. My mom says I can only stay home if I have a fever, and I hate to do this but I need some way to make sure I have a fever in the morning. I know for a FACT that I wont be able to concentrate on my math test, and I will fail it if I go, and I KNOW THIS, but because I faked alot in the past, my mom doesnt believe me. Please dont say its my own fault, because Im getting an A in math and I dont wanna lose it!! Help please!!

Also, she checks my temp. in the morning by feeling my forehead. If it feels warm, she figures I have a fever.

Well, I guess I HAVE asked if I could fake it, but this time it IS true. I just caught some symptoms from my sister. Anyway, I'm going to school, and I guess I'll try real hard to concentrate on my test.

If you are really feeling that bad, and you have to go to school anyway, at least talk to your Math teacher, and tell him/her that you don't feel well and need to lie down. Usually there is some place in every school that will let you do that.
Truthfully, as a mom, I see through this pretty easily. My kids try it on me all the time. I have 'mom senses' that make it pretty hard to fool me if you aren't really sick, so I imagine that your mom is just the same. If you want to do the mature thing, the right thing, you will just go to school and take the test. If you didn't study for it, you will bomb. If you did study, you will still do ok, just maybe not your best.

Maybe you will get lucky and you will get a fever to go with your sick feelings by morning!

I do feel for you. I have been there.

Don't worry about having an immaculate house. I'm not a stay at home mom but personally I don't understand how some women keep their houses spotless. Their poor kids must have to stay in their rooms all the time or something. My house is only spotless on Saturday mornings - that's when I do my weekly cleaning. The rest of the week I do basic pickup and wipe down when I get home from work. I literally set a timer for 10 minutes and do nothing but clean. The 10 minutes a day keeps it from getting truly dirty but means I don't follow my daughter around all evening telling her to pick up her toys (actually she does that during the 10 minutes cleaning and it keeps them under control, if there's some on the floor when we go to bed so what, that's what the next days 10 minutes is for). If 10 minutes a couple times a day isn't enough time for you to get the house the way you want then my suggestion would be to advertise around the neighborhood for a mother's helper - a younger teenager who can entertain and take care of the kids for an hour or two while you clean house and do laundry.

Hate to break it to ya, but you probably shouldn't have faked. It will probably be really hard to get her to be convinced that you're sick. Do you just feel like crap, or do you have other symptoms as well? If you do, tell that to your mom, and maybe she'll let you stay.

But I wouldn't bank on it, because she'd probably be expecting you to do just that so that she'd be more likely to believe you if you were faking. You also told her that you had an extremely important test, which means that she'll probably also think that you're just trying to buy some extra studying time. So go and try to take the test, and do your best. A single bad test will not tank your grade for the entire quarter, or semester, or whatever. Just make sure to do well on everything else and you'll be fine.

You should tell the teacher before the test that you feel sick. The teacher probably won't believe you, it's better if they don't actually.... do the test. And then afterwards go up to the teacher and say 'I still feel really sick, can I go to the nurses office/call my mum/go home?'
If you don't do well in your test, then you will have the excuse of feeling sick throughout the whole test. Everyone will believe you, because not only did you tell the teacher before the test, you told afterwards aswell, which makes them think 'Oh, maybe she wasn't trying to get out of the test, maybe she was telling the truth'.

I don't like helping people lie like this, but I understand how it feels. I understand the stress. And if you're feeling really low, I can understand how hard it is to have to even face school.

Do you know the story of the boy who cried wolf? He told so many lies that no one believed him when a wolf actually attacked him.
If you have to fake a fever, you are not sick. You should be studying for your test right now instead of looking for ways to get out of it. Go to school and take the test. If you fail, it's your own fault.

If you don't have a fever, GO TO SCHOOL! As you get older you will realize this more but we all have to do things when we don't feel well, that's just life. If you know this stuff, then you will know it whether you are sick or well. You are getting A's so it should be easy. Toughen up and take the test!

Just put onions under your armpits to get a fever or symptoms of a fever. Take a note to school to take the test over and if you are feeling better afterwards go to your friends house.

Go to school and take the test and FORCE yourself to concentrate... if you KNOW the stuff and are so good in Math, you shouldn't do badly on it anyway...and don't lie to your mother----one day you will NEED her to trust you and how will she be able to if you lie to her all the time... ESPECIALLY about being sick when you are NOT. A mother can ALWAYS tell you know.... how do I know this? I'm a MOTHER!!!!!!

You brought this upon yourself by faking sick before. It's your fault. You're the girl that cried sick. This is your own fault. Go to school and do the test.

go to school, explain the situation to your math teacher, and ask if you can take it on monday instead. teachers are more than understanding usually. just give it a shot. and if it doesnt work, then just try your best on the test
