feed him something neutral like boiled chicken with rice or scrambled eggs with rice. Only feed him a little at a time; maybe 1/2 cup every hour or so. After he has had a cup or 1.5 cups, start him on some clear broth (like chicken broth). Don't overfeed because it could cause bloat or a twisted bowel.
Keep him warm, put a heater in your garage; start with a cardboard box, put a layer of plastic in the bottom to keep the damp out then some towels, blankets, whatever you have. If he will put up with it, try putting a t-shirt on him. If you put his front legs through the sleeves then you can split the back & tie the two ends together (trim off anything extra).
Once he is asleep, try to cover him with a towel or blanket to help keep him extra warm.
If you have an old fashioned hot water bottle fill it and put it in the box with him.
If you don't have a garage, consider putting him in your laundry room or in the bathroom (if you bring him in the house he may need a bath - but keep him extra warm).
Take him to the vet tomorrow and get him checked over. He may need some extra care for a few weeks to get him back to good health.
Blessings to you for taking him in.

Take the stray in your garage at the very least. If you can't, provide blankets or some means of keeping warm. I've brought in strays before and I feed them boiled chicken wings (removing the bones). Water is also a must. You're a good person for taking in the stray.

Even an old cardboard box is better than nothing! Give him some blankets he can snuggle into, or towels and put him in your garage or bring him in your house. Keep your other animals away from him. Either could catch something from the other, and he is too frail to withstand illness right now. Give him water and food.
Is there snow there? We are in California and it's 76 degrees outside; still summer-ish even at night. Give him some shelter from the cold.

Maybe it was fate that brought him to you. I suggest if you can until you can get a dog house to keep him in a garage or a basement or even in your house. I believe things happen for a reason. Keep him at least keep him until you can place him in a nice home. He came to you for a reason. Please feed him even if it is people food if you don't have dog food. Just give him something. Poor baby. Good luck and God Bless
