1. Fibercon--pills with fiber in them, added to your diet gives your colon a grip to shove the stool through the anus with very little effort. Start with 3-4, and adjust as necessary. You can take up to 8. Make sure you drink lots of water with this product.
2. Miralax--This is a powder that you can add to any food and almost any liquid (not soda) and get results within a few hours. You can't taste it or feel it, and it works with no side effects at all. No cramping, etc.
3. Drink--drink anything and everything. Don't add extra calories to your diet, but you don't have to drink water. Any liquid will help.
I ran an experiment when I was deciding to see if I could do this naturally, and I increased my fiber intake in my foods by 300%. I still couldn't go.
Some medications make this happen--codeine is wicked, but lots of antidepressants cause it too--and that's my problem.

IF YOU ARE CONCERNED DEFINATELY SEE A DOCTOR, THE TESTS ARE QUITE UNPLEASANT THOUGH. It sounds tghogh that you just have constipation which will involve you to blleed a bit sometimes if u are straining, i sometimes gofor a week at a time, it has also been an issue with me. If you experience pain while not taking a bowel movement or you have black stools or lots of blood, seek medical treatment take a laxative for one day or by prep clean which will clean out your whole system. I use Colon/liver cleanses bought at any health food place, this is natural and homeopathic, it works great to keep me regular, also i take medimucil or the supplemnt fibre pills every day, stool softeners are sold over the counter and now they have fibre you pour over food, eat bran, whole grains and and cereal, also certain meds will increase diarhea, it doesn't sound like anything to be very concerned with but i would definately bring it up with your family doc. Do not use laxatives for prolonged time cause your body becomes dependent on them fast and will make your problem worse.

Senna leaf tea or take 2 tbsps of dissolved epsoms salt in a large glass of warm water. Wait several hours for each to work, then be amazed...the second works faster Ive been told.
Drinking warm water while eating will hamper the digestive process by dilluting the acids in your stomach which break down food. Basically your problem will worsen from that advice...
After the dam bursts, consider a colon cleanse from renewlife.ca. Also take 2tbsps of WHOLE psyllium husk in a glass of water twice a day, every day for 2 weeks or longer when you notice how well it works...Some people do it year round.

Drink a LOT of water (warm, not cold) before, during, and after every meal. That should help.
