.. i read all your answers.. i have a meeting with the vet anyway on Tuesday the 6th because i get a free health exam for her and she has to get her stitches out from being spayed. i know before i got her.. she was on clavamox for the URI.
and about her meowing... she hasn't been doing it so much this second day.. but still once in a while when she wakes up or when she's playing.

She's just being a big suck - looking for MORE cuddles...

Even at that age, they KNOW that meowing is seen as cute - and this brings praise and rewards. As hard as it might be, the best thing you can do is to IGNORE her when she does this in the same room as you are.

A new cat will also do this as part of their adapting process - combining it with sight, sound, smell, and marking "their" new homes :):):)

As for the URI - this is an area where I have NO expertise...

If she is eating and drinking well the URI will most likely resolve itself, but she is still young and kittens are more at risk for death from URI, so get it checked out. Watch her close and if she seems to be lethargic or stops eating and drinking, wheezing, now's VET TIME. She may want more attention 'cause she is sick and is meowing more, but she may just be loud, your right, some cats just are.

Thumbs Up, I have to disagree with you on one point though, URI can and does resolve without treatment, and if this cat is as the first above stated condition, not a reason to see a vet asap. She should be watched carefully for the next day or so, but it may get better on it's own.

Some cats are very vocal and like to meow a lot. She's fine by doing that a lot. She might stop as I think at this point it might be an attention thing for her. As far as URI, don't let it go. I have seen many cats die from that when left unattended. URI is like a head cold to us. She needs medical attention and some medication for this. It's something that won't go away by itself. Please, get her checked out and get her the medication she needs.

Hope this helps!

She is so used to numerous animals she was around at the human society. She probably had a "buddy" there. She probably misses that little buddy.

Unfortunatly, she will need to see a vet for that URI.

Hope this helped you some

Ignore her when she meows.

ONLY pay attention when she's quiet.
Get up and leave if you have to.

Shake a penny can (15 pennies/pebbles in a soda can with the top taped shut) to startle her into silence and praise her lavishly for being quiet.

URI is like the flu in people with the same symptoms. Antibiotics won't help, don't go to the vet. Make sure she has lots of water and good food. If she seems congested, shower steam will help.

Yeah my cat does this to and it happens when i am gone for a while or if she really misses me. She probably just wants attention. Just ignore her when she calls and sooner or later she should stop.

I've seen plenty of cats. Cats sometimes meow because they're happy to be with someone.
