you can see him as much as you want technically....

although.. he gets 30 days of leave a year. but if he is stationed near where you live, he can put in for a mileage pass on the long weekends and come visit. you can visit when you want as well..

now what if he ends up stationed in germany or korea?.. still, you could see him, he could see you.. but can you afford an airplane ticket to germany?

good luck

That depends on how far away you are.

If you are far away enough that he will have to fly to see you, expect to see him, at most, twice a year. He will get 30 days per year of leave, and generally most will take 2 weeks at a time.

If you are within a 6 hour drive or so, you could see him somewhat often. There are several 3 and 4 day passes throughout the year, and he can put in for them as well. During those he can just drive to come see you. If that is the case, you could expect to see him at least once a month, maybe more. If you are that close, you can also come visit him as well.

not at all during basic training. if you have the money go see him graduate basic. not at all during MOS school, except for the two weeks stand down in December for the holidays. After that, entirely dependent on how much leave he has on the books and how often he can take it, with operational commitments taking precedence.

do NOT expect him to be able to come home every weekend or even once a month if he is stationed more than 100 miles away. he will have duty and other commitments and just polain will not be able to leave base.

That depends on how much you want to see him and your budget.
once he's through with basic , he can usually get a weekend pass, which might be good from Saturday afternoon after duty, until first formation Monday AM.Obviously, he can't travel very far.
He also gets 30 days of leave a year. How he uses this, is up to him. He doesn't get it all at once, he earns it .
He may get a week or 10 days leave after advanced training. but if he chooses to come home, that's on him. For example, if he gets transferred from Ft Ord, CA to Ft Knox, KY and you live in Boston,
he gets paid expenses from ft Ord, Ca to Ft Knox. if he wants to come to Boston, he pays the difference.
You can go to see him whenever you want., but bear in mind, the travel costs will mount.
I realize you will want to see him as often as possible, but "as often as possible" will not be very often. If he would be tansferred to a place like South Korea, you might not see him for a year or more.
i know this isn't what you want to hear, but this is how it could work out. The Army takes care its own requirements before your relationship is considered.

Your boyfriend will receive 30 days of leave every year.

Also, his weekends are his own unless he has duty. If he is stationed in the same state as you, or within 50 miles of you even across state lines, then he can visit every weekend.

Otherwise, he will need a pass.

A 48 hour pass, for Saturday and Sunday, is always given for non-flagged individuals, so even if he is a few hundred miles and two states away, he can still visit every weekend.

If he is too far away to drive, well, it will be less often.

Remember, you can always go and visit him wherever he is stationed.

That depends on many factors, how far away is he stationed being just one of them. During Basic training i doubt you'll see him at all the 1st 4 weeks, and maybe not for 8 weeks unless you are near the base.
After basic training and Advanced training you could see him almost daily , again depending on where he is stationed and where you are.
Just difficult to see the answer from your question.

depends on his job, you might see him every week but i HIGHLY doubt it. if he gets something that keeps him in the states, yea, move near his base, you can see him everyday. if not, typical army over seas station right now is over a year. he will get 30 days of leave a year, and since hes overseas i do believe he will get 1 or 2 weeks off extra in there.

They have all done a wonderful job answering your question, however in addition to what you added,
go to the army website
www.goarmy.com
They have a listing (and map) of all of the bases in the US.
Good luck!!
