I want to cook eggs, but nothing too plain, but I want something different. I like eggs, and can only think to scramble, boil and make fried eggs. Can anyone help me think of another and different way to cook them so that they are delicious? Thank you!

Make a Frittata!! Take raw eggs with a little black pepper in it, onions, bell pepper, left over potatoes, some meat - even hot dogs or kielbasa sausage will do, and some cheese. You can even add garlic if you prefer. Anyway, saute the onions and garlic in a little oil until the onions are translucent. Add the bell pepper (chopped) and cook a little longer. Add the potatoes and meat to heat them up a bit. Then add slightly beaten raw eggs off to the corner in the same pan. Once they start to set, stir them into the other items in the pan. As they set up, add shredded cheese - CoJack is the best but cheddar works too. You can change the cheese to different kinds for different flavors. You can add spinach to make it nice too but not necessary.

Or you can make a Joe's Special. Take the egg, some ground beef, onion and garlic, spinach, guryere cheese, parmesan cheese. Saute the onion and garlic till translucent. Add the ground beef and cook until no longer pink. Add the spinach and cook until wilted. Add the egg in the corner of the pan. Once it starts to set up, stir it all together. Then add the guryere cheese and give it a stir and just before serving, add the parmesan cheese and give it another stir. I like both of those for breakfast. The Joe's Special was my favorite in a special restaurant I used to go to.

I've worked in restaurants for many years as a breakfast cook. Here are a couple of ideas.

This works great for scrambled eggs and omelets:

1) Beat the eggs and add a dash of milk (maybe a 1/2 teaspoon per egg). Add a pinch of minced garlic, minced onions and Lowery's Season Salt. Add some sour cream or cream cheese (about 1 tablespoon per 3 eggs). Mix well. Make your scrambled eggs or omelets as usual.

2) Try making shirred eggs:

Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease or spray a small ceramic or glass casserole dish with non-stick oil (I use the types of little dishes that are just big enough to hold one egg). Crack an egg into each dish. Sprinkle the egg with a little shredded cheese (Pepper Jack is good). Add some thin slices of ham if desired. (You can sprinkle just about any thing on the eggs. Be creative).

Place some hot water (boiling) in a shallow baking dish. Place the dishes of eggs in the water. The water should not rise higher then half way up the side of the dish. Place the eggs in the oven and bake until the eggs are set. I leave the yolks runny but you can bake longer if desired. It takes about 15 to 20 minutes.

Good Luck!!!

Have you considered the 300 minute egg? This is an old afro-jewish recipe that I came across a while back, and they taste good.

The theory is to heat the eggs at a temperature of a little less than 100 degrees for 5 hours.

Here's what I do: Put the eggs into water - cook on a low flame for 5 hours.

The whites turn brown and obtain a nutty flavor. Looks really interesting and tastes lovely served with a tuna sauce [canned tuna blended with mayonnaise and a little garlic]

Hope this helps.

Egg lover here! Favorite ways I love to eat eggs 1. scrambled 2. fried 3. egg salad 4. deviled 5. Western omelet with ham and green peppers, onion I love scrambled eggs cooked in butter with a pinch of salt and pepper. I do not add water or milk to the eggs just beat them first and pour into hot buttered pan. Stir just a little and they are ready in just a minute or two. Fried eggs are great too. After I fry bacon and remove all the fat but a tablespoon in a non stick pan I crack the eggs and slide them into the hot man let the eggs cook on medium heat and then when the whites get firmed up I put a lid over the pan with a few drops of water and it steams the yolks so they have a thin film over them. It only takes a few seconds so you have to watch it so they are not over cooked. Egg salad is so yummy. In a medium bowl place the chopped hard boiled eggs chopped celery, mayonnaise, salt, pepper, sweet pickle relish, french style mustard and pimento. Stir to combine and chill. Serve on lettuce leaves or on toasted bread. Deviled eggs are great for an added item on a salad plate. boil eggs, cut in half, remove yolks and mash add to the yolks mayonnaise, prepared mustard, sweet pickle relish, salt, pepper, Mix well and stuff back into egg whites sprinkle with paprika or fresh parsley. Western Omelet chopped ham, chopped green bell pepper, chopped onion, salt, pepper, butter. In frying pan melt butter then beat eggs in a bowl pour some of the egg in to pan and add the chopped ingredients then pour more of the egg over the veggies season with salt and pepper. Let cook on med to low heat until the egg starts to set then with a spatula start loosening it around the edges and flip over to cook the other side. Great for anytime of day not just breakfast. Some like a tomato catchup to dip the egg in and others enjoy cheese added. Great for a quick meal. All you need is a dish of fruit and some bread toasted. Best wishes, Mama Jazzy Geri

I don't have a "favorite" way to do eggs. I like them any way.
O.K. Now to your question, I like fried eggs, medium, when the yolk is still semi liquid, 3 English breakfast sausages and 2 toasted slices of white bread.
1 large freshly pressed orange juice and 2 large mugs of freshly brewed coffee.
This is only on Saturdays and Sundays.

How about eggs benedict? You poach the eggs, place on top of a toasted english muffin with a slice of canadian bacon or ham and hollondaise sauce.

Fried, over easy. With bacon and fried bread of course (and I'm not English) I love fried bread.
