My dogs pray to Woof. But He's apparently not very attentive, since they keep calling His name, repeatedly--and sometimes all night--to get His attention. If I have their religion figured out, there's a fair degree of ritual involved here: They must pray outdoors (mostly to prevent angering the God of Master), and sometimes involves animal sacrifice (We often hear them chanting to the God of Woof, then shortly afterward find dead squirrels in the yard). Cats are considered along the same terms as Atheists--but they really simply pray to a different God: Namely, Meow. (Sidenote: Cats apparently blaspheme often, calling Meow's name at times when Meow obviously isn't required. Maybe that's why dogs are generally weary of them... of course, many dogs take Woof's name in vain, too. A Kennel has more blaspheme than your local bar.)

The search for Woof is very tiring. Sometimes my dogs search in the earth, digging great holes in the yard. Other times they seem to be searching the trees... unless they are looking for future volunteers for animal sacrifice. But the quest is hard, and the journey long. They sleep a lot as a result.

My lab is a little confused, spiritually. She sometimes dabbles in worshiping the God of Crotch, which apparently announces Himself by smell. Mostly, though, she seems very partial to Woof.

What religion is your dog?

If you would have asked me this a few years ago I would have probably said that my cat was an atheist, but, since you are asking now I would have to say that I don't know. Using the evangelical atheist's from yahoo as a guide I would have to say that she definitely isn't an atheist since she doesn't obsess over my faith, tell me what I believe and don't believe in as a Christian, and she isn't trying to convert me to atheism.

I have an agnostic dog, an atheist cat (cats think they are God)
And then I have a dog that I think is a crazy fundy. She runs around the house yapping. I love her dearly though.

I have a cat. Well, actually I have 2 but I hate the one I don't like (lol!) so I have 1. I think he's also an atheist. An atheist tomcat. It doesn't get much better!

My dog is a devotee of the almighty tennis ball. The cat thinks we need to worship her.

Strangely enough I think my dog must be Methodist... She always wants food present and then takes off running when its gone, just like the people at the Methodist church I attend.

Her relgion is "make my supper now or I'm going to take a big angry dump on your living room carpet. Then I'm going to shed an extra four pounds of fur right on your bedroom rug."

We need to be careful, because she's a crazy fundie, too. She prays all day long to this red ball. I think it tells her to do things.

Muslims believe all animals are muslims and they obey God's laws; not like human beings. We are given conscience, a mind to think and decide. Animals do not have the capacity to decide.
