Everytime I taste cilantro, it reminds me of the smell of "latex" Like a latex surgical glove. I had a sandwich a long time ago that had cilantro in it. It took me a couple years to realize that that re-occuring taste I was tasting in certain foods was cilantro. Now if I eat certain types of salsa, I cringe at the thought of that taste. Some people get all happy about recipes that they're going to add cilantro to. I thought I might get used to the taste of foods with cilantro, but it keeps coming back to ruin the taste of food for me.

Absolutly not, I hate cilantro, one time when I was little I had some with fajitas with a lot of cilantro and I got sick. I really don't like the way it taste and it has a really strong odor that makes me a little sick when I smell it. The rest of my family likes cilantro and they give me a hard time about it, it's annoying. It's bad how it show's up sometimes, one time I was at an all-you-can-it Chinese buffet and I took some sushi they had there and when I bit into it there was a big piece of cilantro in it, it was gross.

I HATE cilantro!!! I get sick and throw up if I have even a little bit. Years ago it was never in Mexican food then for some reason it became popular and now it's in everything. I have to check the ingredients in any salsa I buy and I always have to ask the server in a restaurant if the is any cilantro in a particular dish.

I remember the first time I tried cilantro, it was added freshly chopped on top of a bowl of chinese onion udon noodle soup (quite tasty). I wasn't sure if I liked it or not... then the next day I got a craving for it.

I've loved it ever since and make home made guacamole, salsa and add it to tuna, salads, it's really good if you add white vinegar, raisins and a little sugar as a salad dressing.

"They" say you either love it or hate it

No, I am not crazy about it like some people are. I can tolerate just a tiny bit in a dish, but I really don't like it. Doesn't smell good or taste good in my opinion. On the Food Network shows they use a lot of it and it makes me cringe. I just haven't developed a taste for it either. You are not alone!
