The anti Christ is not a person.

It is a term that is meant to be descriptive of the way certain pseudo Christians pretend to be followers of Jesus. People like Pat Robertson and Jerry Fallwell, They are a minority, but they are so vocal they drown out the rest.

Jesus always stood for a loving, inclusive, nonjudgmental approach to his fellow man.

The bigot pseudo Christians see their brand of Christianity as an exclusive club from which they judge all others as being unworthy of any fate other than burning in hell.

Their actions are almost the exact opposite of what Jesus Christ taught.

Hence the name antichrist, or opposite of Christ.

The Antichrist is a person who will rise to power. He will set up the world system and the people will buy into it at first because it will sound like the perfect answer to all the world conflicts. The apostate church will become the universal religion of the world. He will make a treaty with the church and with Israel (Jews) to protect them and make peace. Then halfway through the seven year Tribulation period, he will turn on them and break the treaty. There will also be all sorts of natural disasters and weird phenomena during this time. Read the book of Daniel and Revelation in a good Bible with cross-referenced Scriptures so you can also find the other passages elsewhere that relate to this.

I tend to believe in pre-trib Rapture, so hopefully Christians will be gone before he really rises to power, but he could actually be alive now and starting to appear on the scene at any time, so I am always watchful and try to be discerning.
Even if Christians are still here to experience the Tribulation, somehow the Lord will protect us (or we will die a martyr's death and then be with Him in heaven)--I'm trusting Him to see me through whatever happens because I know the ultimate defeat of the AntiChrist and the ultimate victory of Jesus!

The Bible really does not say anything specific about where the antichrist will come from. Many Bible scholars speculate that he will come from a confederacy of ten nations and/or a reborn Roman empire (Daniel 7:24-25; Revelation 17:7). Others see him as being a Jew since he would have to be in order to claim to be the Messiah. It is all just speculation since the Bible does not specifically say where the antichrist will come from or what race he will be. One day, the antichrist will be revealed. 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 tells us how we will recognize the antichrist, "Don't let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God's temple, proclaiming himself to be God."

A person who will put the world system into place. Watch as the numbers are being used already. Implants and on ID's the number 666 is being used in 27 states already. And the E.U. WANTS IT TO GO GLOBAL! Who will be in charge of the E.U.? The antichrist. It will be a person who rises to power and people will worsip him as he proclaims he is God.

There are many antichrists in the world, many proclaiming to be 'men of God', but they are, as the bible states, wolves in sheep's clothing.

1 John 2:18 - LIttle children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we konw that it is the last time.

1 John 2:22- Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

2 John 7 - For many decievers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

2 Thessalonians 2:9 - Efven him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders.

1 Timothy 4:1 - Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.

Matthew 7:15 - Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Matthew 7:21-23 - Not every one that saith unto me, Lord , Lord shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. v.22 - Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prphesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? v.23 - And then will I profess unto them, I never new you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

The Bible says it will be a system with a man at the head that thinks to change times and laws. A good book to read that is short and extremely simple yet profound is the National Sunday Law and its on the web to read free at www.reg6.com

I try not to focus on the antichrist. I focus on here and now.I focus on getting as many people to accept Jesus Christ as their Savior. I want to see people saved in my family. I can't worry about the antichrist. That's God's problem. I want to focus on being the best I can, and going to church with my family and praying for people who need prayer.
