I see religion as a lie about God, but i believe that God exists.
Several years ago I had an unusual experience concerning an uncle, a distant relative who lived over a thousand miles away.
While driving my car I suddenly felt the unmistakable presence of this relative that I hardly even knew. He was more like someone I had heard about than someone I knew. It was very strange; it felt as though I was momentarily lifted right out of my physical body. I seemed to be suspended somehow beyond space and time, bathed in a love so intense It felt like I could have just disappear into it at any moment if It would have let me. It only lasted for a few seconds, but it seemed to last forever at the same time. I realize how crazy this must sound. The experience was so strong that at first I was afraid I was loosing my grip on reality. I finally managed to chalk it up to an over active imagination.
Three days later I got a call from my aunt telling me that this uncle we are talking about had gone into a coma and died the day I had the experience. It felt like ice water had been poured down my back when she told me this. I had lost any real ideas of God or faith and had become somewhat of an atheist. Needless to say this experience caused me to rethink some of the conclusions I had come to.
I feel blessed to now understand that even in our darkest confusion something loves us so much that it went out of its way to assist me and bring me back to a state of absolute certainty about Gods love for us.
During the experience it seemed like there was a vast amount of information that I was somehow allowed access to. One thing that I came away from this experience understanding beyond any shadow of a doubt was that any Idea that God is unhappy with us or would judge or allow us to be punished for any reason is simply impossible.
I can’t explain the love I felt with words. They simply don’t make words big enough or complete enough to do this. The only way I can begin to convey this love to you is to say that there was simply nothing else there. Nothing but love. No hint of judgment, no displeasure of any sort. It is as though God sees us as being as perfect as we were the day we were created. It is only in our confused idea of ourselves that we seem to have changed.
I hope this is of some help to you. Good luck. Love and blessings.
Your brother don

Does God exists or not. You ask this question without any definition of god. I'm sure there is at least one person on this rock who believes that a Dixie cup is god. They would say yes god exists as they look lovingly at the cup. Many believe that nature or mother nature is god others that life is god. Some worship the sun. I think we can all agree that the sun exists. So more yes(es). Then there's me, I think I'm alone. I believe that since so many people believe in god and devote their lives to god that there is a force that encompasses god. This has nothing to do with weather a god exists or not. Its just that so many people believe, that god shapes society and culture. So to say there is no god then is to say that our society has not been shaped by one, that is just untrue. How ever I will say there are no believable gods.
As for religion I have no position for or against it, it just is and will always be part of a society, a fundamental building block.

first of all, you would possibly want to keep in mind that there is a distinct distinction between spirituality and faith. I prepare no certain faith, yet I one hundred% have self assurance in a God Almighty and that i one hundred% have self assurance that God has different entities that act on God's behalf. faith comes from a time at the same time as there have been not person-friendly techniques to go back and forth or talk. merely like you've diverse languages, you'll have various theories. diverse colleges of concept. you're accurate that human beings pick a experience of religion, yet in my opinion, faith isn't a divine creation, it is guy-made. guy preaches to different adult adult males about what they imagine this all skill. you'll for sure get differing critiques on a thanks to stay one's existence. I have self assurance that God isn't obligated to each and every human being problem, yet more advantageous the problem as an complete. in words of an afterlife....i imagine that it is more advantageous about a airplane of expertise on a commonplace factor than something that looks above or decrease than the floor that we stand on. i imagine the universe as an complete is one huge functioning churning of capacity and once you commence questioning about how one galaxy can merely basically shred by yet another galaxy, as those hubble pictures have shown, then which could grant you with a experience of ways small we are, how humongous the universe is, and how unfathomably grand the limitations of life might want to likely strengthen to.

I definately believe that God exists, but I think that religion is man's idea of what God's expectations are. He never meant for there to be all of these denominations.

I do not believe in God and the complete lack of evidence is my principle reason.
I wouldn't say I am for or against religion itself. Just because I'm not religious doesn't mean I must degrade those who are. But I am very much against religion being used to guide politics or scare children into obedience.

I know God doesn't exist. I'm not "against" religion per se, but would approve of the violent ones being eradicated.

I don't think God exists, but I have no objection to religion. A great many people find comfort and purpose in religion, and in this complex, random and unpredictable world, that's a good thing to have.
