sometimes giving the person time to calm down is good because I think the other person gets time to decide if they are sincerely sorry

No, absolutely not. You are very unselfish for doing this. It is good you are taking the initiative to appologize.

It's never to late!!! Even if you think the other person has moved on a part of them has and the other half is waiting. They will respect you (hopefully) for your apology. And if they have been talking stuff behind your back that will also stop
Hope it helps, It's NEVER to late

No never too late as long as it is sincere. But don't just be sorry that you hurt them you need to be sorry for what you did that caused them the hurt. or you could hurt them again.

It is never to late but you may want to give them time to calm down because if there not calm its going to start an argument.

it depends
if the last person that hurt me decided she wanted to say sorry, it wouldn't be too late, it wouldn't really matter because what was done was done, and i don't want anything to do with her.
but that's not really the point,
if it was really hurtful, it may be, also it kind of depends on the person. they may be more hurt than you think, so yeah.

I Believe it is never to late to aplogize. Wether or not the person excepts the apology is not up to you, but at least you admitted you were wrong. =)

you can alawys apoligize no matter how long, but if it is something really bad and you still want to be a friend or still in a relationship, then the quicker the better. and if you are sincerly not sorry, then you should not apoligize to better fit your feelings. you should just stop talking to them.
