This is a stereotype, for the most part. And while there is almost always some truth to stereotypes, there are usually tons of exceptions to them as well. I think it's safe to say that most mature, intelligent women do not act this way. The ones that do act this way are just immature and want puppets instead of husbands/boyfriends.

No, the problem isn't you. By refusing to talk to you, he's denying you the chance to be the loving, supportive partner that you want to be (and frankly, that he needs). You're the maid, the cook, and the booty call - and unless that changes, you're either in for a lifetime of misery or a very short marriage. Use his next day off to talk to him about it, well before bedtime. Don't let him try and push you off or yell at you. He needs to know that whatever he's working toward with these long hours, it's not worth the damage he's causing to his home life. There are other jobs out there, bad economy or not; he doesn't have to quit tomorrow, but you need to know that this isn't a permanent state of affairs and see him putting in some effort to change things. And if he refuses to listen? Then you need to ask yourself how long you think you can stand being alone even when he's physically there.

PEOPLE get mad when someone expresses an opinion that they don't like. Stay on Yahoo Answers for long enough and you'll find that out very quickly. Nevertheless, if something is said TACTFULLY, then far fewer people will become upset, as opposed to something being said disrespectfully or without tact, in the name of " honesty"-which is often an excuse for a poorly disguised insult. Have a good one.

everyone tends to be self-righteous when it comes to their own opinion... no one wants to be wrong and loathes it even more when someone disagrees or throws back a counter-arguement against them. That's how people tend to be... I don't mind when people disagree, I just get annoyed when people don't give you a chance to speak your opinion nor listen to what you have to say. It's okay for them to be critical of you and everyone else, but they'll arm themselves to the teeth when you disagree or give constructive criticism. Heck.. I've done it before... everyone has... It's just a matter of keeping an open mind to what people have to say... It's not what you say... It's how you say it that really matters...

I would rather have the truth even if I get pissed, than have been told a lie....you don't want to see me after being told a lie . Calling me a B*T*H is putting it lightly. Besides the trust between the two is now broken and will take time to repair.
Men are the same but react in a different manner....(Oh those holes in the wall).

Brevity is the soul of wit.
"You look fat" "You look hot"
My wife used to get so mad at my seeming insensitivity, but I'm a man, not a capitulating little "yes dear" husband. If she asks me if what she's wearing makes her look fat, I tell the truth. Now, when I do compliment her for her attire I have credibility. Most woman are casting the compliment reel, and always come up with honest replies with me. And no, I have no problem getting women, I attract "women", not insecure little brats that had 8th place ribbons their whole lives. In turn, when I ask my wife if my nose hairs need braided she hooks me up.

I've always thought that was really stupid when people do that, I am the opposite, though, I get mad when they lie...if I look bad in something, you better be honest so I can change.

You should always start with, "You like me to speak my mind, right?" That always works. I guess I've learned something being happily married for 30 years. :)

Perhaps it's in the way the opinion was expressed.
