Pharmacologically, there is no difference. However some antibiotics cause stomach upsets, and tend to cause less side effects when eaten just before or with a meal. Water is always good to drink with anything but it makes no difference in terms of absorption from the gut.

You need to take them with water. Some require empty stomachs and others are better taken with food to "cushion" the stomach. Some do not allow you to eat certain foods such as dairy. It depends. Ask the pharmacist.

As a healthcare provider I say that there are some that can upset the stomach if not taken with food..Unless indicated on your script bottle...taking them with food helps prevent nausea.

It depends on which antibiotic. Tetracycline, for instance, has to be taken well away from meals or it won't be absorbed. Teke Augmentin on an empty stomach and you'll probably be throwing up your toenails before long and begging for mercy.

Depends.

Read the instructions that came with your meds. Usually there's a sticker that says, "take with water" or "take with food."

If it says neither, it doesn't matter.
