What is a good job that makes a lot of money with not too much college?

I'm thinking about becoming a nurse anesthetist...but would that be weird since I'm a male and I'd have to do a year of nursing before going to school for it?

What do you consider too much college? You can become a radiologic technologist in 2 years.

And there's nothing wrong with being a male nurse.

What's wierd about being a male nurse? You don't have to wear a skirt or anything. I see male nurses all the time, just like we have female accountants and engineers. Nurse anethethesiology is a very hard profession. I think too many people are drawn to it with dollar signs in thier eyes, and fail to realize that is is a VERY difficult master's program. Rightfully so, though you have a lot of responsibility, and a mistake could make someone paralyzed.

I'm not sure what a lot of money is to you, but someone mentioned rad-tech. This is somewhere in the neighborhood of 55k a year, the same or slightly more than an RN right out of school. But if you are scared of working in a profession dominated by women, I would shy away from this as well, as is with all health professions.

I went through tech school and received my LPN in 1 year. That would be a good foundation to start your career on. And I see many Male nurse anesthetists in the hospitals in my area. Good luck!! I believe you are seeking a great field of study.

I don't want to discourage you but make sure you want to be a nurse before leaping into it. I have almost two years of rn school under my belt unused and I would like to use it. If you or anyone else has any ideas let me know. If you like computers computer software engineers make a ton of money.
