A plant can grow faster in sunlight because the sunlight is pure which is from the sun and there is vitamin D in the suns light and the artificial light only tricks the plant to grow. There is also calcium, magnesium, iron, protein, vitamin A, vitamin B, vitamin C and vitamin D in the sunlight and there is none of that in the artificial light.
